The 11th running of the $1,000,000 CHARLES TOWN CLASSIC (Grade 2) will take place on Saturday, April 20th. As in previous years, the CHARLES TOWN CLASSIC has drawn an impressive list of nominees and continues its tradition as one of the top races for older horses in North America. Attached is a list of this year’s nominees.
The CHARLES TOWN CLASSIC will highlight a 13-race card that gets under way at 12:30pm ET. Post time for the CHARLES TOWN CLASSIC is scheduled for 5:37pm ET. Other stakes races on the card include the $100,000 Dance to Bristol Stakes, $100,000 Robert Hilton Memorial, $75,000 Russell Road Stakes, and four stakes for WV-bred runners.
Please note there will be a $100,000 guaranteed All-Stakes Pick 4 pool beginning in race #9. Also, there is a MANDATORY payout of the Charles Town 6-12 Jackpot Pick 6wager. Current carryover for the Charles Town 6-12 stands at $133,426.
