Race 1: Yue Man Handicap
8 Mister Arm is racing well and does appear very close to a second win. He gets his chance here from an inside draw with Hugh Bowman taking the ride. #7 Beauty Nova was solid two runs ago over this course and distance. If he can reprise that form here then he should give a very good account of himself. #1 Win Win Charity steps down in grade. He’s drawn well and in this grade he should show sharp improvement. #10 Pride Of Dragon has been competitive this term. He should get a nice run throughout.
Race 2: Wai Yip Handicap
11 Travel Glory is edging towards a first win. He’s in career-best form at the minute and Karis Teetan’s riding style suits this horse very, very well. He gets another excellent chance here with the light weight. #2 M M Johnny narrowly missed last start after being well supported. Expect he’s held his condition between runs. #10 Zacian has been a money muncher across his career, however, he does still know how to put a solid run on the board without winning. Keep safe. #1 Loriz makes the class drop. He’s a threat.
Race 3: Tsun Yip Handicap (1st Section)
10 Noble Steed is holding his form. He won well two starts ago and gets another chance here from a soft draw, especially under the light weight. He doesn’t win out of turn but he is in a rich vein of form. #5 Right Honourable will need luck but should be powering home from the tail of the field under Silvestre de Sousa. #4 Eighteen Palms has moved well in his trials. He pairs favourably with Zac Purton for his debut. #7 Legion Of Merit is nothing short of consistent and he should find the right spot under the in-form Vincent Ho.
Race 4: Tsun Yip Handicap (2nd Section)
9 Packing Monkeyking is nearing a first win. His last two runs have been excellent and with even luck he looks capable of getting on the board here. The inside gate suits and a clean run in the straight should give him every opportunity. #12 Concerto slots in light and is tracking towards a first win also. He might be value and is definitely worthy of an each way ticket. #2 Rainbow Light knows the course and will be thereabouts once more. #3 Copartner Fionn is better than his form suggests. He’s suited to this grade.
Race 5: Mut Wah Handicap (2nd Section)
1 Act Of Faith did well to win last start. He can take another step forward here and in his favour is that he remains in Class 4. Zac Purton hops up again which should assist him in offsetting the wide draw and hefty impost. #4 Hercules is consistent. Expect he settles at the rear before powering home late. He gets his chance. #2 Beauty Mission is racing well. He caught the eye late last start and further improvement is expected here. #7 King Eccellente won well last start. He’ll be thereabouts once more.
Race 6: Mut Wah Handicap (1st Section)
1 Wind N Grass should benefit from a probable hot tempo. He’s very, very dangerous racing off his current rating, especially in Class 4 which should give him every chance to nail an overdue win. #6 Yellowfin is very consistent and a first win is nearing. He’s in sound form and should get every chance to get on the board. Chances are #7 Goodluck Goodluck gets into the right spot either on the rail or just behind the leading duo. Expect from there he gets his shot. #9 E Brother’s in good form and should look the winner at some stage in the lead.
Race 7: Hung To Handicap
8 Pachisi makes his debut. He moved well in a recent trial behind Nervous Witness and does look well enough to perform first-up in Hong Kong. Strong booking of Vincent Ho warrants consideration. #7 Faribault won well last start and gets his chance again here. He draws well for Silvestre de Sousa. #4 Juneau Flash is improving with each and every outing. Zac Purton hops up and the inside gate should see him favoured. #3 Sergeant Pepper steps down to Class 4. This looks suitable and the booking of Karis Teetan signals intent.
Race 8: Hoi Yuen Handicap
12 E Legend is racing well and he kept on strongly last start after settling on the speed in a fast-run race. He can take another step forward here and the light weight and inside gate should ensure his opportunity. #1 Red Majesty loves the course and distance. He’s in a rich vein of form and Angus Chung’s 10lb apprentice claim helps. #4 Prince Alex is gaining momentum. He did well for third last time out and should get his chance again. #3 Dynamic Spirit is lightly raced but showing plenty of potential. Next best.
Race 9: Hip Wo Handicap
3 Heroic Master is a talented horse and he can atone for his last start defeat. He’s still holding his condition and the inside draw this time in should ensure he gets every chance, especially under Zac Purton. #4 Namjong Sings is consistent and if he gets a few favours then he is capable of surprising. #1 Beauty Charge has hit the ground running with a win from four starts in Hong Kong. Expect he rolls forward and he’ll look the winner at some stage in the contest. #9 Gold Gold Baby rises to Class 3. He’s a talent but this will be more difficult.
