4 – AMERICAN RAGE – Good 1st up effort in his last; was racing well before the break & he figures to be tough with any decent trip

1 – DULL ROAR – Can take advantage of rail to secure good trip

5 – V I P BAYAMA – Unlucky trip in last; moves to midpack & will be a late factor once −− if −− extricated from pylons

Race 3: N/W $12,000 L5 – EARLY PICK 4 (3-6)

2 – ARI ALLSTAR – Gets major post relief in second try this level; $40K force last fall should relish this level

1 – KEHMMYWOOD – Has speed & hit board last two tries this level; figures for an excellent trip from here in 2nd 2016 start

4 – ROCKSTAR STRIDE – Excellent return effort for second; barn already has two wins on year

3 – FAT MANS ALLEY – Drops to historically low level; just missed one notch up three back; his old “B” game would take this

Race 4: N/W $12,000 L5 – MIDDLE PICK 3 (4-6)

1 – WINDS OF CHANGE – Has had some mixed results here, but drops, lands rail & will control the action with his speed

2 – THORN IN YOUR SIDE – Invades from Canada (don’t tell Trump) at a reasonable level; 1-17 at Hilltop (win came at this level)

5 – JENERAL PATTON – Has been racing steadily & is exotics factor

Race 5: N/W $25,000 L5 – LATE PICK 4 (5-8)

4 – CYCLONE KIWI N – Chased impressive looking winner & will benefit from drop; winner last try this level

5 – SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP – Almost $1 million in bank, but only 7 starts in 2015-16; recent swamp tries should at least have him sharp

1 – CAUTION SIGNS – Goes 7 hole to rail; twice a winner one notch down in both tries from inside

Race 6: OPEN HDP

2 – MELMERBY BEACH – Done in by 54.3 half (not to mention THE REAL ONE) in his last here; races well fresh; 6-1 ML

8 – PHIL YOUR BOOTS – Will need to be at his best to overcome post, but former $8K claimer has been superb here

4 – ASLAN – Seemed to struggle in last, but still finished second

Race 7: N/W $25,000 L5 – PICK 5 (7-11)

2 – TEXAS TERROR N – Conservatively driven in last, but clearly has talent & finished right behind #1 in last; third in last allows win him to remain in this class

1 – STATESMAN N – Strong second off break; expect it’ll be all systems go in advance of 1/18 swamp sale

3 – CAROL’S COMET – Finally moves inside & will make his presence felt late

Race 8: N/W $12,000 L5 – LATE PICK 3 (8-10)

1 – PERRITO CALIENTE – Formerly talented erratic sort returns from PA after decent tries vs. cheaper; has speed to take advantage of rail; 20-1 ML is inviting & worth a flyer

4 – MAJOR TRICK – Good second one notch up 11/4 & upstate form good; like the 7 wins, but Kakaley picks #1; 10-1 ML

3 – BIG JER – Has performed well from inside slots

Race 9: N/W $18,000 L5

2 – VALIDUS DEO – Winner from this slot last try this level; has been saddled with bad posts & finds field he can dominate

1 – CHEYENNE SEEBER – Failed on front end this level two back; seems destined for good trip from rail; 12-1 ML

3 – SANTANNA ONE – Finally gets good post for Ruiz after 3 outside tries following $40K claim; expect him to rally late

Race 10: N/W $18,000 L5

1 – IN COMMANDO – Winner last this level; no shot from 7 hole in return; expect MacDonald will control the action

6 – ONE THROUGH TEN – Nothing in 2016 debut off break, but likely to be more aggressive here; Holland opts for #2

3 – DONAU – Returns at same level after nice rally for 3rd

2 – MISSISSIPPI HIPPY – 2-38 in 2015, so only use underneath

Race 11: N/W $18,000 L5

1 – MCARDLE ROYALE N – Easy winner in N/A debut; steps up, but should be able to impose his will from rail

3 – POLAK A – Nailed late for 3rd behind good 2-2 down under type; multiple Levy leg winner drops to level of last win

5 – HIGHVIEW CONALL N – Kiwi was solid 2nd in YR debut

Race 12: N/W $18,000 L5

1 – CASIMIR JITTERBUG – Winner one level UP last week off long layoff; speed, rail, drop and Sears (picks him over #5)

2 – ROLAND N ROCK – 3 YO made YR return winning one with easy front end score; gets free ride & is the main danger

5 – SOHO JACKMAN A – Disappointed off break, but can be a late tri/super factor

3 – ORILLIA JOE – Another who won off break, but steps up
