RACE ONE EARLY DOUBLE- 2-2, 2-5, 2-6, 2-8 PICK-5 – 1,2,6 w 2,5,6,8 w 8 w 2 w 1,2,3
2-MAD COW LISA…appears to be in a bit easier here and drew much better. Has whipped $3,000’s before. Can rattle cages late here. 1-GROOVEY KID…hard to handle but cam really rock and roll when given room to roam. Must be taken away carefully to avoid jumping. 6-INSIDER ACCESS…pulled on backside in last but quarter was too stiff to dent. Can grind a long way if fortunate enough to get cover.
RACE TWO
2-BIG BETTER BEST…drew outside in bulky field in last so no chance there. Showed some pace last 3/4s on the outside (1:26.4). Upsets? 5-PLAYIN FOR KEEPS…been hot property lately and now back where he was a month ago. Liked pace during third panel in last (:27.4). 8-A LIST…pulled off upset in last showing gate speed before yielding for the garden trip. Likes to leave and get into the fray from get-go.
RACE THREE
8-CRAZYASCLASSIC…lightly raced 3 year-old getting tighter now. Gave nice hint in last showing nice brush on backside but a bit short. 1-THE LIFE OF PIE…mare seems to have been driven very carefully since arrival. Would like to see a bubble or two. Good trot late in last. 2-WILDCAT SPIRIT…has had 24 chances to get to the winner’s circle but still an “ofer.” Needs more “killer instinct” to break the maiden.
RACE FOUR PENTAFECTA- 2 w 1,3,4,5,6 ALL THE WAY
2-ITALIAN STALLION…jumped up in the air leaving last time. If he minds manners (a BIG IF), should be able to handle this group. Chancy. 6-MYSTICAL SHOPPER…was ruffed up early in last and then “even-steven” thereafter. Probably on choo-choo train when gate leaves. 3-GUILFORD…not much on paper these days but veteran gave a bit of a hint in last denting quick third panel. Could “make” the ticket. 1-REL CASH CLOWN…was in a tough situation in last caught outside looking in for good part of the mile. Rail should keep closer here. 5-NORTHERN INFERNO…actually went a decent mile in last and held up well despite very quick fractions. Will be on the bullet train!
RACE FIVE 3-GODIVA SEELSTER…very impressive in debut after vacationing a couple of months. Liked that three wide sweep turning for home. 2-JUST A BEE…went right down the road in a very well rated mile to win last. Leaving and yielding for the garden journey this time. 1-CLASSIC CARPET…probably pushing the pace early in here to keep cozily close. Question is whether she can swallow the air outside.
RACE SIX PICK-4- 1,2,3 w 7 w 1,4,7 w 8 1-VELOCITY VESPA…comes into the action on a serious roll—five in-a-row. Look for a quarter move to the top to control the festivities. 3-WILD WANDA…didn’t relish the off track in last. Has very strong brushing power and will be on the move once on the backstretch. 2-FANCY DESIRE…seemed to be well within herself in her qually. Very classy mare has competed with the best of her class. Mark of 1:49.
RACE SEVEN 7-PIER HO EXOTIC…made monster backside brush in last making double-bubble move turn 2 and charging hard through turn 3. Like! 2-PHILANDTHEQUEENS…Myrick-Hoffman team usually don’t get much respect at the windows but this one fits extremely well here. 1-BODY DOUBLE…raced an amazingly good mile in last after early miscue. Clean mile could be very dangerous. Can rock & roll in lane.
RACE EIGHT LATE DOUBLE- 1-8, 4-8, 7-8 4-DONATO BABE…made a couple of moves in last—first showing gate speed and then another on backside. Could be on the engine. 1-SUPER SHEFF FROSTY…on occasion, can turn on the afterburners in the lane. Rail should help in keeping within striking distance here. 7-CAROLINKIA…train left the station without her in last. Mare has shown flashes of speed & a clean getaway could get her on ticket.
RACE NINE SUPER HI-5- 8 w 2,3,6,7,9 ALL THE WAY 8-BREES CREEK…takes yet another dip in class to spot where he should be on the engine to wire the competition. Probably odds-on. 6-ORATOR…got caught outside during “suicidal” opening half and that was that. Quick pace is OK here…if he can catch live cover flow. 7-WALDY JIMMY…gets more class relief here. Post still not the best but can catch some live cover & be prominent in the lane. On tkt. 2-FREENEASY HANOVER…hasn’t seen this company in many weeks. Last time in similar class, put In strong performance with late surge. 9-DRAIN DADDY…gelding could be on the bullet train to get into the fray early. Does have decent credentials in this class. “Makes” tkt.
