RACE ONE DAILY DOUBLE- 3-1, 3-2 PICK-5- 3 w 1,2 w 7 w 3 w 2,6,8 3-MY HOPE…pulled on the backside and showed willing trot final 3/8s to the wire. Dented fast 3d panel, too. 7-PROUD MOMENT…made confident quarter move to the front in last but fast half hurt when trying to repel. 5-EASTER LEGGS…giving subtle hints lately. Liked :28.2 brush backside. Has 5 post (and some gate speed.)
RACE TWO 1-CASCATA…been very reliable for that sharp closing kick. Just needs to work out 2nd over trip to threaten. 2-NEEDLES AND PINS…up a notch in class but cannot ignore recent form, especially last with sharp close. 8-VAN GUNDY HANOVER…has outside post but has been solid in this class & can catch live cover flow here.
RACE THREE 7-DIAMOND DAGGER…always performs well and now enjoys a bit of class relief. Has awesome brush power. 1-HIGHLAND YANKEE…move to the rail may be the key here. Recent win from rail bodes well this time, too. 3-GOLD SAVAGE…has gate speed and drew well. Look for early foot here then a yield for the garden trip.
RACE FOUR PENTAFECTA- 3 w 1,8,10 w 1,8,10 w 1,2,5,8,10 w ALL 3-COUNTRY FRESH…lolly-gagged well back early but then unleashed huge double-bubble binge on backside. 10-LILY REI…doesn’t win often but has been performing well in class. Needs to wend way into fray (2nd tier) 1-RUTHS SHADYLADY…post didn’t help in last but did show sharp backstretch pace while on the m”oo”ve. 8-INTERNAL CHECK…pulled 3/8s into the journey in last and forged forward into short lead into final turn. 5-COME ON KATHRYN…always performs well in class and drew advantageous 5 post. Versatile. On the tkt.
RACE FIVE 2-SUE’S NIGHT OUT…seems to perform well from any post. Finally drew well here and should be prominent. 8-HIGHLY SPIRITED…got picture perfect journey in last and blew the field away in the lane. Post may hinder. 6-SHADOWMISTY…kind of head case but did mind her manners in last in a much improved mile. Manageable?
RACE SIX PICK-4- 2,3,7 w 3,7 w 2,4,7 w 3,4 2-JESSE’S PROMISE…can grind away with the best of ‘em. Tough mare probably going first up on backside. 3-POCKET TRIP…put on quite a show in last with devastating backside blitz to put away foes. Steps up here. 7-EXPLOSIVE MUSCLES…been solid as a rock in recent from all posts. Probably on the choo-choo train here.
RACE SEVEN 3-MR RIGHTNOW…recent have not been up to par but finds a very amiable situation–kind of “now or never.” 7-STURGEON SEELSTER…uncharacteristic move to the front early in last and out-brushed very late. Of pace. 6-RHAPSODYS STAR…never gets any respect at the windows but gave strong hint of better to come in last.
RACE EIGHT 2-SHAWNEE MAGIC…steps up after sharp win from of the pace in last. Still compares very well in here, too. 7-THE MUSCLER…was way back early, pulled three-eighths out and was really rocking and rolling late. 4-SELENA…mare could be on the engine then yielding for the garden journey. Been solid most every start.
RACE NINE LATE DOUBLE- 3-3, 4-3, 5-3 4-SWEET BET…was used very hard in last race then shufed to spot where it was impossible to overcome. 5-ROSE TROY…had to go back a couple of find comparative race. Of Jan. 11 & 19, would be competitive here. 3-TON OF LUCK…had tough journey as chalk in last. Left a bit, pulled turn 2 but 3rd panel destroyed chance. RACE TEN SUPER HI 5 – 3 w 1,4,5,8 w 1,4,5,8 w 1,4,5,8 w ALL 3-MODERN DAY CLYDE…had tough post to overcome in last but made very sharp m”oo”ve on backside. Like! 1-ALL AMERICAN MAJOR…hampered by posts last two. Move to rail should keep much closer to the action. 5-CLIVE HANOVER…showed good pace on backside in last but couldn’t dent further in relatively tight finish. 8-TALK IT UP…was a termite most of mile in last then unleashed huge rally late to just miss all the marbles. 4-JET ER DONE…made move–double-bubble turn 2–into quick 2nd panel but winner was much too tough.
