Gets edge! 2-SKYWAY PIPPEN…can grind forward a long way. Patient drive early, 2nd over journey would be dangerous. 6-WING FLASH…excellent efort in last denting fast third quarter (hers :28.1). Leaving & yielding for trip here.
RACE TWO 3-SMOKIN DABRA…warrior looks like he’s feeling pretty good now. Went huge mile in last. New hands here. 6-ON THE TAB…classy individual tries hard every starts. Has banked $755K. Reliable for sharp closing kick. 2-I’LL TELL YOU WHAT…11 year-old set to go over $400,000 this time around. Looked like 3 y-o last week.
RACE THREE 2-REAL CATCH…miscue on “of” late cost dearly last time. Race back to prior lines would be enough to win. 5-NICHOLAS RYAN…went monster mile in last pulling second turn & grinding forward (3/4s in 1:23) to win. 3-WALTZACROSSTHEWIRE…former “4” has moved up the ladder impressively. Proved to be competitive here.
RACE FOUR PENTAFECTA- (BOX) 1,5,6,8,9 6-BIG PACKAGE…been extremely sharp lately. Probably leaving and yielding to a quarter mover here. Edge. 5-HAYMAKER…one thing’s for sure–he’ll be trotting his final quarter in :30! Trying to catch live cover here. 8-YOU THE ONE……not much on paper these days but can turn on the afterburners late–at a hefty price. 9-MAGIC CHEQUE…raced big in the Sweetheart by pulling on backside & forging forward. Post hinders a bit. 1-LG’S PRIDE…completely collapsed in the lane in last from early eforts. Dips here & should get the trip.
RACE FIVE 2-SOGGY DOLLAR…made very sharp double-bubble move 3/8s from home during lightning pave for class. 6-SANTANA SASS…was unable to use normal gate speed in last & too far back early to dent. On the engine. 8-BETTOR ON TOP…doesn’t win often but last was decent while outside during :54.3 and 1:23 panels. On tkt.
RACE SIX PICK-4- 5,6 w 1 w 1,2,3,5 w 1,2,4,6,7 6-ROYAL MAX…current form is extremely sharp. Probably on the bullet train looking to control festivities. 5-OHO DIAMOND…sent track record for age, sex & gait in first start. Freshened up and ready to rock & roll. 4-WINDING HILL…has strong brushing power & dented backside quarter in last (his :28.2) before faltering.
RACE SEVEN 1-NORMANDY INVASION…very fast horse dipped into “4’s” last start and was gobbled up. Will be winging. 2-LILYS REAL BOY….pulled turn 2 in last & forged forward to the lead but was out-kicked in the late stages 6-SMITHERS…big efort in last and paced last half in :55.4 to make the board. Fast panels would aid cause.
RACE EIGHT 5-HOLD ON TIGHTLY…made sharp first up backside bid in last (his 3rd quarter :28.1). Key might be dip. 2-BENNS SCORE KEEPER…got caught outside looking in in last during :56.2 opening half. Better spot here. 1-BAMBINO HALL…post hurt in last but did show some gate speed. Move to the rail helps warrior’s cause.
RACE NINE 4-SEEK THE DRAGON…been giving subtle hints of better since return. Paced very strong final 3/8s of mile. 1-FEARLESS CHIP…has gate speed and rail is great spot for him. Dips to a very amiable level. Dangerous. 6-SHAMDEROCK…paced final 3/4s in 1:25.2 and was especially strong final 3/8s. Gets cover flow journey.
RACE TEN LATE DOUBLE- 1-1, 5-1, 7-1 1-FLASHY LADY…rugged mare went first up on backside in last against some tough cookies. Cozy trip here. 5-IMMINENT RESPONSE…gave a nice hint in last showing good foot on backside denting quick panel. On tkt. 7-NORTHERN NANDI…was patient in last–too patient–and got shufed before showing good trot in lane.
RACE ELEVEN SUPER HI 5 – 1 w 3 w 2,4,8,9 w 2,4,8,9 w ALL 1-BEACH BLAST…appears to be in easier spot here. That, plus the rail, should keep cozily close throughout. 3-Y S JOE…very sharp double-bubble move in last denting fast 3rd quarter. Can rattle cages in the lane. 8-TWIN B TK..recent form is very sharp. Probably on the engine here from outside post. Fits very well here. 4-ROADDOG JESS JAMES…gave a nice hint in last showing stout pace on backstretch & a willing closing kick. 2-WINDMERE SHADOW…left in last but got shufed and never threatened thereafter. Needs cover flow trip.
