Mahoning Valley gets the week started with the $200,000 Steel Valley Sprint on Monday, November 21. The six-furlong sprint has drawn a strong field of eight and is scheduled as race #7 with approximate post time at 3:32 PM ET. The nine-race card also features the $75,000 Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Distaff.
On Wednesday, November 23, Zia Park will host a 10-race card that features 9 stakes races worth over $1.2 million in purses.
The feature event is the $300,000 Zia Park Oaks with a scheduled post time at 6:15 PM ET. Other stakes include the $200,000 Zia Park Derby, $150,000 Zia Park Championship, $75,000 Zia Park Distaff, $75,000 Zia Park Sprint, $150,000 Zia Park Quarter Horse Championship (QH-G1), $140,000 Eddy County Stakes, and $140,000 NM Quarter Horse F&M Championship. First race post time from Zia Park is 2:15 PM ET.
A field of eleven has been entered for the $200,000 Fabulous Strike Handicap at Penn National Race Course onWednesday, November 23. Multiple stakes winners; Weekend Hideaway, Awesome Speed, and Chubilicious will likely vie for favoritism in an evenly matched field that will go to post at 7:26 PM ET.
Other stakes races at Penn National include the $100,000 Swatara and $100,000 Blue Mountain Juvenile Stakes. Penn National first race on November 23 is scheduled for 6:00 PM ET.
