A PEEK AT THE PROGRAM–MONDAY, MARCH 12
Some insights into tonight’s racing program
(the lost hour of sleep may be used as a pathetic alibi)
1ST RACE – (5) FLIRTSWELL took failed shot in Round 1 of Petticoat, but overmatched. Ought to appreciate class relief and being included in blank opener.
3RD RACE – (8) DIAMONDTOOTHGERTIE did torch money in first round of Petticoat, taking air in slow back (but overall decent mile). Gazed despite draw.
4TH RACE – (3) KEYSTONE PHOENIX did pass a few in eight-hole season debut. Have to think substantial venue relief works going up against solid returnee.
5TH RACE – (1) AMERIMAN tries it second pole/second Lasix/second nod. Went evenly in that try and surmised to be bit tighter this time around, tepid shot.
6TH RACE – (3) D G’S ELSA was a handy, ‘peeked’ victress in opening leg of Petticoat. Well-placed to leave gate once again, we stay aboard one more time.
7TH RACE – (4) DALI DELIGHT was one of this missive handier endorsees in taking her opener of series. Solid, front-end effort then, suspect same M-O here.
8TH RACE – (7) LATE MAIL N draws awful each try, then races well each try. ‘Peeked’ winner at this restricted level week ago, no reason to abandon now.
10TH RACE – (5) MAKASI prevented us from a perfect 7-for-7 last Monday night. Price then, gonna be again with continuing task of finding his way into fray.
——
