 Super Saturday effectively mirrors World Cup Night without the additional and considerable international challenge. It is in effect a test for locally trained horses, a test that asks whether they can run fast enough to be competitive or even win on World Cup night and this year there are plenty of live World Cup night contenders to consider on a fiercely competitive card. Analysis of the card is skewed by the presence of horses trained by Salem Bin Ghadayer. He has had a tremendous World Cup Carnival with five winners but now a doping violation weighs heavily over him. He is allowed to have runners as this breach is the subject of an appeal but what are we to make of those runners? This is tricky for any analyst, particularly as he seems to have a few good chances on the card. From my point of view I believe it best to take their form at face value and leave the implications of the recent doping violation to the Emirates Racing Authority.

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1^ST RACE – (3) FINAL JUSTICE has not been horrible from any number of rotten draws. Sees bottom-feeding claimers sans much current form, so gets gazed.

3^RD RACE – (6) DANCIN’ HILL is not going to complain about seeing less talented foes this time around.  There is, however, matter of getting involved here.

4^TH RACE – (2) INFORCE has had some moments locally in the past and a return last out not that bad. Has serious post relief now, ought to work versus these.

6^TH RACE – (2) DIVA’S IMAGE and any number of these are prepping for next week’s start of Blue Chip Matchmaker. Winning outer seven draw earns nod.

7^TH RACE – (5) AU D LOX BLUGRASS is a Hoosier invader to our shores in advance of Matchmaker. Could easily have been sent to adult table for ’18 bow.

8^TH RACE – (4) THE SPY showed requisite progress in second seasonal try,  not coincidentally after dipping a claiming notch. Stays at same level, so let us see.

10^TH RACE – (5) SHADY CITY finds himself ‘tagged’ for second effort of season. Barn has sent pretty much everything out with purpose, intriguing in here.
