1ST RACE – (4) SHARKY’S WAY has been plying his craft elsewhere with check-getting success. Gets a better getaway than many of rivals, so we take a shot.

2ND RACE – (7) SORTIE was unable to hack deeper end of the trotting pool and certainly gets requisite class relief. Would not take short price from poor draw.

4TH RACE – (5) JOE HILL found himself with tongue hanging out chasing wicked fractions in last. He won’t have that here and claiming dip is appreciated.

5TH RACE – (4) SOUTHWIND MASIMO returns for first time in just about a year ear for career start No. 150. Barn change after decent Delmarva circuit tries.

6TH RACE – (4) ALEXA’S POWER is deemed to be better than some ladies she was lumped in with for distaff derby. Gets too much post relief in local return.

7TH RACE – (2) TRUTH AND LIBERTY earns a trip back here after pair of wins up at wooden Nichols. Catches soft group for this level, wouldn’t be surprise.

9TH RACE – (1) FIREBBY A is the X-factor making season debut. Lass was 2-for-2 here in spring of 2018, both from outer venues. Could need a start…or not.

10TH RACE – (3) QUEEN LOSTRIS N is difficult to go against, slithering under dollar ceiling while getting adult-table reprieve. She never cheats in effort.

Yonkers Raceway’s Pick 5 guarantee completes its first week Thursday night (June 13th).

As part of the U.S. Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program and with the approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, a minimum $10,000 pot is available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening.

The first two pools—more than $13,000 and $11,000, respectively—eclipsed that magic threshold.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising either races 6 through 10 (10-race card) or 7 through 11 (more than 10-race card). It has no consolation payoff.

3^RD RACE – (4) THAT’S MY OPINION crosses river and back in for same number he was last sold for. Has had success this price before, draw gives options.  

4^TH RACE – (5) ALLTHEFIXINS crosses border and 24 days between starts as part of mundane mélange. Has minded manners twice with Lasix, useful in here.      

5^TH RACE – (2) EXOTIC DIAMOND was a ‘peeked’ winner last early last month from same venue. Gets a fair amount of post relief for local return, we nod.

6^TH RACE – (1) SOUTHERN ALLIE is one of this missive’s faves, back for first visit since early ’17. Hard-knocking seven-figure performer makes 320^th start.  

7^TH RACE – (6) ALEXANDRIA HANOVER goes second off R&R and off good off-pace effort. Probably has to wait her turn again due to much inside speed.

10^TH RACE – (1) WARMINSTER A is a seasonal 1-fer, but just missed last try this level. Would not hurt to protect pole, surmise can win if not much chasing.
