Yonkers Peek At Program- Saturday, November 17th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:

(reminder, we’re back at it tomorrow, first post High Noon).

1ST RACE – (2) ABNER THE GREAT had no shot from eight-hole in latest, couldn’t hack two moves in previous try here. Opposes quite soft group in opener.

2ND RACE – (5) BETTING EXCHANGE slips down to level he’s disposed of in the past. Best draw in more than month, would expect him leaving from here.

6TH RACE – (5) GOKUDO HANOVER gave nothin’ else a chance, slapping around notch below in last. Driver’s choice of three returning to week’s adult pace.

7TH RACE – (2) THE WAYFARING MAN tried it first-up against previous ‘peek’ week ago, never getting close but holding bottom of ticket. Takes class dip.

8TH RACE – (5) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE did miss three weeks, then tried two moves into quick fractions. Have to figure the route is easier this time around.

10TH RACE – (4) SIR PUGSLEY sort of owes us after a pocket third in last after nod. We’re not gonna abandon ship quit yet, surmise he can work with these....

Northfield Picks From The Ayers Above- Saturday, November 17th

Northfield Track Announcer Ayers Ratliff’s free handicapping tips are provided for our IdaBet.com players.

Remember, due to their draw schedule, picks are made in advance and do not account for scratches or late driver changes.

From the “Ayers Above SATURDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 17
Race 1: 2- Just A Friend – Draws well and could score with the right trip. 1- Rock N Roll Doodle – Looks to be a tough
contender from the rail. 6- Affair In Ashley – Could be a factor upon coming to Northfield. 8- Sophie’s Luck – Could add value
to the exotics despite the poor post draw.

Race 2: 2- Dontwantalkaboutit – Almost lasted last time out; could see things through this time around to start the Pick 5.
1- Summer Party – Finished second in all three of her most recent races; could be the runner-up again tonight. 6- Wake N
Bake – Won her most recent effort and could be right there again.

Race 3: 5- Casimir Quiche – Was a beaten favorite last time out; could come through for her backers this time around.
8- Beamer N Bud – Looks to do well in here despite starting from the far outside. 1- Western Legs – Could make the ticket from
the rail. 2- Thatullbsweet – Draws well and should get a good trip.

Race 4: 1- Toneka – Won two of her last three races and could score again. 2- Theresareason – Draws well and could be
tough in here. 5- Sneakydontfailme – One of several in here that could make the ticket. 9- Rockin Sue – Has as good of a shot
as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Race 5: 4- Schemin Friskie – Draws into a race where several could win; this one gets the slight call over several others to get
the job done in here. 2- Miss Dollar Mam – Finished second last time out and could be the runner-up again tonight. 5- High
Flyin Sara – Could be tough with the right trip. 1- Happy To Scoot – Could grab a piece of the action from the...

Trots-a-plenty Featured At Plainridge Park

Trots-a-plenty Featured At Plainridge Park

Nov 16, 2018

With only five racing days left in the 2018 Plainridge Park meeting, this was the second-to-last Thursday (Nov. 15) trot-heavy card as the track will be dark on Thanksgiving. However solid efforts and fast times were still seen across the board from the diagonal-gaiters who competed this afternoon.

In the $12,000 conditioned event for the 6-year-old and under group, Quicksilver Kemp (James Tomaso) watched from the rear before following cover on the outside from the half to the top of the stretch where he displayed his usual late-closing speed to win by a length in 1:58.1. It was the sixth win of the year for Quicksilver Kemp ($4.80) who has put together a stellar sophomore campaign. The 3-year-old son of Andover Hall has now earned $63,915 for his owner/trainer Joel Wheeler.

Then the fastest miles of the day were registered in a pair of mid-level conditioned trots on the strength of surprising performances given under the cold and windy conditions of the day.

In the first $8,500 split, Shorething Fashion (Nick Graffam) showed good foot leaving and a lot of heart finishing to out-battle L Dee’s Yoyo Ma (Drew Campbell) to wire where he won in a sparkling 1:55.1. Shorething Fashion ($6.00) scored his fifth win of the year for owners Bob McHugh and Mike Eaton, who also does the training.

And the second $8,500 contest went to Namesmuscle (Matt Athearn) who sat the perfect trip behind Bruizn (Drew Campbell) before pulling in the stretch to outmuscle that one at the wire and win by a neck in 1:55.3....
