5TH RACE – (1) MUSIC IS ART was here thrice in NYSS at 2 and 3. Wins draw after doing solid Pocono work, barn has sent out nothin’ but live ones of late.

6TH RACE – (6) GRUDEN has been quite the consistent number of late and need only outleave five foes this time around. Earns repeat ‘peek’ in marquee trot.

7TH RACE – (1) CHANTEPLEURE was done no favors by ill-advised take- no-prisoners drive in last. That said, away from adult pace with generous getaway.

8TH RACE – (1) GREAT VINTAGE continues tonight’s pole theme. Hard-knocking SOB has made $1.3 million by being able to chase gate, take catching.

4TH RACE – (3) AMERICAN VENTURE returns here for first effort since July, this time with tag. Wins 3-thru-7 draw after winning at Pocono, tepidly gaze.

7TH RACE – (4) ITTY BITTY did torture us last try, room inside late before nailed by bombardier. Nod in ‘Happy Anniversary Shirley and Julius’ Invitational.

9TH RACE – (1) HUNCH MAN was gazed dipping down claiming ladder in latest, flattening and settling for smallest envelope. We stay winning draw tonight.

10TH RACE – (3) SUMATRA is back to the max level of aptitude and well-placed to get going. We can’t swear to value, but we can’t swear to an alibi, either.

11TH RACE – (5) DEWAR N SODA was a pocketed third against better foes at this level. Has not resembled lass of recent seasons, but sees very spongy finale.

10TH RACE – (5) THE LUNCH PAIL is actually helped by moving outside few places. Last few tries not prominent, but hooks very dressed-up field in finale.
