Some insights into tonight’s racing program
(and since we’re dark tomorrow, Happy Fourth)
1ST RACE – (6) FUTURE LIFE has not shied from the lower claimer ranks, making her living with these. Only drawback seems lack of early interest, but nod.
2ND RACE – (7) LADY RAPIDASH starts her purse career in this high-end group of Excelsiorites. Half-sis to champ lass Kadabra, as noted by Canuck posse.
6TH RACE – (6) SUMMERTIME FEVER showed some early foot in Monti sires. Outside in opener of NYSS Grant Trot, attracts chauffeur who’s been rolling.
7TH RACE – (2) MAGNUM J makes just second career U-S try, other 300G Northfield stakes (’16, finishing third). That resume ought to translate versus these.
8TH RACE – (4) QISS ME BLUE CHIP has some catching-up to do, starting her purse career. Decent in both Pocono qualifiers, flyer in second group of Grant.
9TH RACE – (4) SENSIBILITY is one of quartet with New York Sire Stakes lines (first leg, Monti). Beaten fave, nodded in third of frosh-filly Hugh Grant Trot.
