2^ND RACE – (7) DREAM OUT LOUD N has raced eyeballs out any number of recent local tries. No reason he can’t handle these if he can sniff ‘em from here.

4^TH RACE – (6) CHUMLEE A is not the prettiest-gaited lad, but takes air in each start and races well regardless. Gets gaze in first division of G-M Levy Series.

5^TH RACE – (4) BAKERSFIELD offered a crisp finish in latest, albeit slow final quarter. Dunno if that makes him Levy timber, but we give him crack to see.

7^TH RACE – (2) SIMPLY SUSATIONAL N is taken as Asher/Stalbaum try for series double. Recovered after break two back, couldn’t reach in last, perhaps.

8^TH RACE – (3) WINNING LINC was stuck behind hideous favorite in last. Offered pace after that one stopped in face, taken to get less eventful trip this time.

12^TH RACE – (4) MACON GEORGIA A has not been nearly as competent as season ago, but hit board in last three this level. Finale rivals appear rather tame.

4^TH RACE – (2) HALUSKY could not sniff scorched-earth winner in useful seasonal debut. Doesn’t oppose that sort of rival here and should be tighter as well.

5^TH RACE – (3) EDEN PAIGE N has worked well against lesser lasses and gets a shot moving up ladder. Tepidly nodded in race where any number have shot.

8^TH RACE – (2) L A DELIGHT was quite credible in ’18 bow, first-up from seventh in last week’s distaff derby. Edged in this second division of Matchmaker.

9^TH RACE – (4) AU D LOX BLUEGRASS may or not be series-caliber lass. Did offer decent late pace in overnight debut as some others here making first tries.

11^TH RACE – (6) CHILLED DESIRE A tries it second off sale/barn change.  Offered early big-track foot in latest, returning to town, figures to be square value.

Turfway Park by Bret Battaglia’s Picks: THURSDAY, MARCH 15 (Preview)

RACE 1
VAIDATED BLARNEY has the speed to make the lead and is capable of the wire-to-wire score tonight. GOLD CHASER is solid at this level and has to be respected. IMPASSABLE CANYON drops from the allowance ranks into this bottom claimer. Anything close to his best would make him a winner but the drop in a huge reason for concern.

RACE 2
MUNTIJ has the tactical speed to be in contention throughout and should get a good trip from the outside post. He rates the edge with Franklin back aboard. ON THE RIVER comes off of a couple of solid efforts and figures to be the one to beat. RABINATO will be running at the end and fits with these.

RACE 3
A CHANGE OF HEART was a beaten favorite last out in Tampa but Colebrook adds blinkers tonight and she will be tough to catch in this one. GO STELLAIRE is still winless after 12 tries but comes off of a good effort over this track and looks like the main competition. LITTTLE HAVANA is a contender.

RACE 4
SCAT LADY ran well last out and hooks a fairly weak field.  She appears to be in a good spot to pick up her maiden win for Keith Kinmon with Franklin back aboard. JASMENE needed her last race after a 5-1/2 month layoff. She should move forward and is the one to beat. DOWNCITY rates a chance.

RACE 5
SMARTY KITTEN was claimed from a winning effort two starts back and hooked much tougher last out. He drops back to the bottom for Jamie Grubbs and looks best with De Leon back aboard. HEAT IT UP RICH hasn’t won over the Turfway surface but has been second in seven of his nine races. He can’t be left out of the gimmicks. RAGING MARKET will be running late and his best makes him...
