Race 1

MARKET MEWS drops in class after a decent effort in her last start, coming back from a layoff since May. She figures to move forward off of that one and is the choice to pick up the maiden win here. GOODBYE N HER EYES takes a big drop in class in her first start since May and could be tough if she’s ready. BECAUSE I SAY SO was third at this same level last time out and looks capable of running well here.

Race 2

DREAM BROTHER has been second best in each of his last two starts over the track. He hooks a soft field today and should be able to pick up the win. ROBERTS ROGUE didn’t show much in his debut, but drops in for a tag in his first start since moving to West’s barn. OUT OF THE TRAPPE shows a few even efforts in his last few starts over the track and could be dangerous on the drop in class.

Race 3

OCEAN FRONT looked sharp winning last time out in his second start back from the long layoff. A repeat of that effort would make him tough to beat again today. GERMAINE’S BOY didn’t show much at Oaklawn last time out, but just missed at this same level here at Turfway before that one and would be no surprise here. SAINT’S BRO beat the top pick two starts back and looks like a contender again today.

Race 4

MYPRETTYLADY comes in off a nice third place finish at this same level in her first start over the track and is the choice for the win here. SINCERELY YOURS didn’t show much in her debut when she was claimed by the Ramsey’s and Maker. She’s been training steadily over the track since that one and will move forward today.

Race 1: 1- Nirvana Gear – Draws the inside advantage and could be the one who takes tonight’s opener. 3- Nintynine – Dropped to this level last start; looks to do better tonight with a better trip. 9- Sea Bug – Looks to be in the thick of the action from the second tier. 6- Upland Hanover – Drops in class and should not be overlooked as a potential competitor in here.

Race 2: 1- Pinkpolosocks – Drops in class and draws the rail; looks to be in a perfect spot to win. 9- Second Chance – Has been second in both of her most recent effort and could post a similar performance again tonight. 3- Cabaret – Made the ticket in three of her last four races and looks to be right there again tonight. 5- Scirocco Sarah – Could add some value to the exotics.

Race 3: 1- ICU Chariet – Draws the inside advantage and that advantage could be key to being successful tonight. 5- Rockratese – Another with a big shot in here. 3- Regil Millionaire – Makes a second start off a qualifier and has reason to improve.

Race 4: 7- Hopeful Trust – Has been second four races in a row; could step up her game and get the job done tonight. 2- Stonebridge Damsel – Drops slightly in class and could be tough in here. 3- Donna Party – Finished third in her most recent effort and could post a similar performance again tonight. 4- Edita Hanover – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Turfway Park – Saturday, Feb 6th

Race 1

SECRET DAIRY didn’t fire on the dirt at Gulfstream last time out, but showed some decent form on the grass before that one and shouldn’t mind the switch in surfaces tonight. Give her a slight edge here. GYPSY ANGEL ROW moves up in class after being claimed in her last start when she drew off to break her maiden by six. WICKED VICKY drops in for a tag for the first time tonight.

Race 2

WHATTHECATDRUGIN hasn’t shown much in his last two starts over the track. He drops in class tonight and looks like he’s in a good spot to pick up the win here. I’M STAR STRUCK drops in class in his first start back since September. He shows some nice works over the track leading up to his return and could be dangerous here. STRONG RESOLVE has a chance.

Race 3

LOOKING FOR A DATE has been off since mid-December when he disappointed on the dirt at Hawthorne. He’s done his best racing over the turf and synthetics and should move forward on the move back to the Polytrack. AFTERMARKETSPOILER didn’t show much on the dirt at Gulfstream in his last start, but drops in class and could be tough to beat here if he takes to the Polytrack. MISS CATWOOD has been in the money in three of his last four starts and is a threat.

Race 4

GRAND COULEE ran a nice third last time out in his first start since June. He should move forward off of that one, give him a slight edge here. DRIFTING WIND has been beaten as the favorite in each of his last two starts over the track and looks like the one to beat again tonight.
