Chrome will make his return to the races on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 in the Grade 2 $200,000 San Pasqual Stakes. With expected rain in the area California Chrome could make his comeback on a sloppy surface. All races on the Santa Anita card will be on the main track.

California Chrome hasn’t been seen at the races since finishing a good second in the Dubai World Cup last March. He got back with a work in November and turned in a very impressive drill last Saturday at Santa Anita. With Trainer Art Sherman in charge, and Chrome coming off extended layoffs, he will likely take a lot of money at the windows, so looking for alternatives might be a good move.
