Dear Valued IdaBet.com players:
We are temporarily having to suspend Northfield Park’s racing signal due to a lawsuit filed by the Ohio horseman’s association against Northfield Park for alleged penalties owed for not fully disclosing all
export signal
entities per contracts (in a nutshell).
Unfortunately, even though our company provided the proper contract language and specifically listed all our operational sites, Northfield Park submitted approvals to the Ohio horseman’s association that only listed the legal entity name or in our case, only submitted a partial list of operational sites and the horsemen are arguing that penalty is due on the handle from those specific sites even though purses were paid for all handle according to Northfield Park.
We’ve been told by Northfield Park that they are at the negotiating table with the Ohio horsemen but that signal must be suspended on the sites that were not specifically included by TRA code in the submittal process.
We have also been told by Northfield Park that this issue effects a multitude of sites across the country both ADW and OTB.
This is extremely unfortunate for all parties as handle will be affected at Northfield Park, purses will be affected to the Ohio horsemen, and innocent companies such as ours are affected because we’re caught in the crossfire
through no fault of our own
.
We’re hopeful an agreement can be reached quickly and we can resume signal distribution in the near future.
We apologize and regret any inconvenience this will cause you. Your business is extremely valuable to us and we hope that you can continue to direct all your play our way. If you have any questions or I can be of further assistance, please feel free to reach out to me directly anytime at 208.520.5688 or by email to Melissa@idabet.com.
Sincerely,
M
