RACE ONE EARLY DOUBLE- 1-4, 2-4, 3-4, 4-4, 5-4 PICK-5 – 1,2,3,4,5 w 4 w 6,7 w 6 w 1,3 1-CAROLINKIA…very “iffy” proposition but, if this one minds manners, looks like she’s got the edge with trouble free trip. 3-ZUPPA INGLESE…not much on paper but compares OK with these. Showed backside speed 2 starts ago. Drew better. 5-MYSTERY XPOSED…could wind up the chalk here off of last start where he cut serious mustard early. On the engine.
RACE TWO 4-OLIVER SLIK…doesn’t win often but did show good speed leaving before “decomposing.” Compares well versus these. 3-RUN AROUND SUE S…had a golden journey in last but jumped up in the air final turn. On the board with a flat mile here. 7-DONATO BABE…eased up in last after all hope was lost around final bend. Performs decently here & there. Leaving?
RACE THREE 6-SAINT PATTY’S DOLL…dips down to the most amiable situation she has seen in many moons. On the choo-choo in here. 7-BERKSHIRE…recent have been very decent. Can take a lot of air and will try to follow live cover then entire final lap. 1-GLOBAL POWER…dips a bit, has the rail, showed very sharp backside trot in last (:29). Fits well versus these. On the tkt.
RACE FOUR PENTAFECTA – 6 w 2,4,5,7 w 2,4,5,7 w 2,4,5,7 w ALL 6-VELOCITY VESPA…awesome lifetime best performance in last. Will be winging again in this bulky field. In very rare form. 4-LUCY’S PEARL…classy mare went first up on backside and dented quick third panel. Should be much tighter for this one. 2-GODIVA SEELSTER…amazing mare cut the mustard in last & just out-kicked mid-stretch. Leaves in here & yielding 4 trip. 5-PERTTY MUSIC…probably blasting off the wings from coveted post looking for spot closer up. Improved in last event. 7-JUST A BEE…not much of a choice but to be on her motor bike when gate opens…hopefully to find a decent early tuck.
RACE FIVE 3-THE LIFE OF PIE…last three have been better. Showed sharp foot early then yielded to be 2nd in best effort of career. 1-CHEEKY LITTLE MINX…lightly raced mare has shown improvement and can kick home a bit. Rail keeps cozily close here. 2-GRANDMA JAN’S GEMS…filly has manners and can do some damage in the lane, especially off of quick panels. Danger!
RACE SIX PICK-4- 5 w 2 w 4,5,6 w 2,3 5-ZEITGEIST…actually went a decent mile (and 20 yards) in last. Gained some ground on backside while double-bubbled. 3-VACATION DAY…doesn’t show any bubbles in last but wended way out past 3/4s and swung widest to all to win last. 6-SUPER DUKE…first race back from scratch sick was sharp, pulling on backside and decent right to the wire in quick mile.
RACE SEVEN 2-GLAMMIT…like for couple of reasons: 1) class dip; 2) showed a tad of gate speed; 3) pace on backside denting :28 panel. 4-FREENEASY HANOVER…second tier post hampered in last. Prior showed decent move during 3d quarter. Fits company. 8-COOL LIKE FIRE…two starts in new hands have been very good, each showing good pace in the lane. Cover flow journey.
RACE EIGHT LATE DOUBLE- 4-2, 4-3, 5-2, 5-3, 6-2, 6-3 6-CULINARY DELIGHT…made two moves in last—one at start and another on backside brushing to the lead. Nailed late! 4-PITTSBURGH HANOVER…had 2nd tier post in last, followed cover on backside then double-bubbled 5/16s out in win. 5-SYLVIA VAN HALL…sat cozily throughout mile in last and never really got an opportunity to build up momentum late.
RACE NINE SUPER HI-5- 2,3 w 2,3 w 1,5,6 w 1,5,6 w ALL (&) 2,3 w 1,5,6 w 2,3 w 1,5,6 w ALL 3-WESTERN LEGEND…solid “4” claimer moved up notch in last, made quarter move and led until mid-stretch. Yields here. 2-BLENDED WHISKEY…couldn’t pass a horse in last but showed some stout pace during 5/16s out while double-bubbled. 5-ON THE GREEN…pulled under the wire first time in last and went grinding forward until top of the lane. Needs cover. 6-RED STAR TOMAHAWK…wired foes in last for first win of year. Outside a different story but can try cover flow journey. 1-TIM WHISKERS…given patient handling in last, got shuffled a bit and then found some room to roam for sharp late pace.
