We are less than one week from the start of live thoroughbred racing at Sam Houston Race Park. The 32-day Thoroughbred meet begins next Friday, January 19 and continues through March 17 with live racing every Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, and Tuesday (starting Feb. 13).
Please note Sam Houston has made a few minor adjustments to their first race post times that are listed below.

The Houston Racing Festival, the richest day in Texas racing, will be held on a special Sunday of live racing on Sunday, January 28 with first post scheduled for 12:00pm Central. The Houston Racing Festival is anchored by the $400,000 Houston Ladies Classic (G3), other stakes include the $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup (G3), $75,000 Frontier Utilities Turf Sprint, $50,000 Houston Distaff, $50,000 Bara Lass Stakes, and the $50,000 Groovy Stakes.
