Some insights into the tonight’s quickie nine-race program for our IdaBet.com players:
1ST RACE – (2) CLEMSON is an admitted leap-of-faith nod, doing so since we’ve tried him before. Good draw, but there are reasons he’s 1-for-15 this season.
4TH RACE – (6) PROTECT BLUE CHIP showed some speed despite having missed three weeks. Draws stinks, but lookin’ around, there’s not whole lot to beat.
5TH RACE – (5) IDEAL FEELING did close crisply in Breeders’ Crown nite Invite. Was given a no-chance trip then, finds way here and is good as any of these.
6TH RACE – (7) TWIN B TUFFENUFF has had solid season where he’s not over his aptitude level. Two-move, eight-hole winner this level in last, can repeat.
7TH RACE – (7) BERTHA VANATION was a Pocono winner after arriving from Iowa. Month between starts then, certainly tighter for local debut, tepid gaze.
8TH RACE – (3) CROSS MY MINDS crosses the border after some decent big-oval tries. Barn had previous success with first-asking Ontario shippers, so …?
——
$2 +/- (thru Thu., Nov. 1) – 290 wins [inc. 1 dead-heat] ($2,212.30)
from 1,288 ($2,576) selex (-$363.70, vote for any candidate who can balance this)
highest-priced winner – HIGHVIEW CONALL N ($43.60)
lowest-priced winner – OCEAN COLONY ($2.10, obvious minimal shame)
