Yonkers Peek At Program- Tuesday, October 2nd

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (5) N EXPENSE offered nothing upon arrival, despite getting a ‘peek’ and eight-hole support. Promptly taken out of that race, so we stick around.

2ND RACE – (5) BLUE SWAN could not sustain bid edging from pocket in last. Was beaten fave then, same level now, suspect comp., double-nickel double.

3RD RACE – (5) MARCED MAGIC returns from Land of the Hawkeye for first local try since late April. Should not be intimidated by these bottom feeders.

6TH RACE – (2) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA probably gets nodded more than deserved. That said, inner half of gate for first time in month forces our hand.

7TH RACE – (2) AMATEUR HOUR offered some outer-post speed in latest and hung around for a small envelope. Slips down to level of odds-on August win.

8TH RACE – (1) ONEIDA BLUE CHIP has never disgraced herself locally, winning half of his eight career starts. Wins draw and possesses early foot to use it.

9TH RACE – (6) MOOSE MADNESS lands third consecutive six-hole after not involved when gazed in latest. Had offered trot in previous local efforts, so…?

——

$2 +/- (thru Sat., Sept. 29) – 263 wins ($2,089)
from 1,150 ($2,300) selex (-$211, demanding FBI investigation)

highest-priced winner – HIGHVIEW CONALL N ($43.60)
lowest-priced winner – PLUNGE BLUE CHIP ($2.20, friggin’ shrewd)

Yonkers Peek At Program- Saturday, September 29th

Some insights into tonight’s last-of-the-month racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (4) SPEAKING OUT returns from Pocono with rotten lines of late, but into shallowest end of the pond he’s seen, maybe ever. Hard to look past.

3RD RACE – (6) CATCHA LEFTY A may or may not be ready at first U-S purse asking (how’s that for taking stand?). Nod for future use, though barn solid.

5TH RACE – (4) SCOTCH McEWAN has been four-eyeballed regularly of late in this age-restricted fray. Did fold when leading in latest, but we’re forgiving.

6TH RACE – (2) MORE THE BETTER N was not nearly as sharp in second local go-round, but gets what may be generous assignment here. Nod in adult pace.

7TH RACE – (6) NF HAPPENSTANCE comes off solid, two-move effort in final of multi-site mare series. Victim of ‘iffy’ interference setback when last here.

9TH RACE – (4) AMERICAN BOY N should not have problem making lead from here. Tried it first-up while well-backed against appreciably better than these.
