YONKERS’ FRIDAY PICK 5 FEATURES $3,000 CARRYOVER, 10G GUARANTEE

A friendly reminder from Yonkers Raceway that Friday evening’s (Sept. 14th) Pick 5 wager starts with a carryover of $3,003.57 and a $10,000 guaranteed pool. The guarantee is in conjunction with the U.S. Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising races 7 through 11 Friday (if 11 or less races, the gimmick is the last five races on the card). It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Thursday night), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.

Yonkers Peek At Program- Friday, September 14th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:

1ST RACE – (2) DOWNTHEHIGWY returns here priced to move. Evenly in last local start against appreciatively better, nodded in what could be opener value.

4TH RACE – (4) HORSING AROUND could not sustain a second eight-hole move first off claim. Moves inside four doors seeking to become legit ‘30’ claimer.

5TH RACE – (4) CHIP CHIP CONWAY did not disgrace himself in latest try at Vernon, a good, first-up try. Gets nodded in opener of NYSS Lew Barasch Trot.

11TH RACE – (3) LILY’S SWAN POND was a fairly regular nod in here for a while. Cuts back to flat mile, good draw both work in his favor this time around.

10TH RACE – (4) SKIPPIN’ BY has been more than competent in pair since Keystone arrival. Finds a competitive coterie both inside and outside of her locale.

12TH RACE – (7) ALL ABOUT MADI has not done herself any favors with four sevens and an eight-hole in last six tries. Class dips to level of latest win here.

——

$2 +/- (thru Tue., Sept. 11) – 245 wins ($1,987)
from 1,066 ($2,132) selex (-$145, there’s no denying…it’s a lull)

highest-priced winner – HIGHVIEW CONALL N ($43.60)
lowest-priced winner – CHASIN’ DREAMS ($2.30)

Intermountain Racing & Entertainment donated to the Idaho Falls Exchange Club Foundation, Inc. for the 6th Annual Field of Honor Memorial held May 26-28, 2018 in Idaho Falls, ID.  This donation supports the community.  The entire net proceeds will benefit local charities for Veterans, Crime Stoppers, and the prevention of child abuse, three service projects of the Exchange Club.

During the Memorial Day Weekend, the Exchange Club  displayed 1000 American flags along with holding an opening ceremony recognizing victims of child abuse and fallen first responders.  The closing ceremony recognized veterans and included a Missing in Action, Prisoner of War Program.  Each day, a reading of the names of fall soldiers was conducted.  The entire weekend was devoted to recognizing our heroes.
