Yonkers Peek At Program- July 29th

Some insights into this afternoon’s racing program.

1ST RACE – (1) DEKEYSER goes eight-hole to pole for day’s first ‘French’ extravaganza. Was belated for a share in last and essentially a blank ensemble here.

2ND RACE – (4) CONSOLIDATOR remains at max level of his aptitude and with better draw. Could not reach in last week’s added-distance try, tepid nod now.

3RD RACE – (10) TROPICAL TRICE does not owe us after ‘peeked’ bottom win a week ago. We’re not sure if there’s another class in him, second-tier intrigue.

4TH RACE – (7) MIDNIGHT EXPRESS S is back with escort who saw him through lower ranks. Didn’t hack second move this level in last, guess leave now.

5TH RACE – (5) LAW OF ATTRACTION returns off two breaks, inspiring minimal confidence. However, ‘stay flat’ resume suggests he’s competent as any.

7TH RACE – (6) J-S JESSE’S GIRL is back with bottom-feeders in search of first ’18 win. Opposes what is, by condition, rather formless array, taken to prevail.

From the “Ayers Above SATURDAY EVENING, JULY 28

Race 1: 6- RJ Jetpac – Just scored at the Union County Fair and could score again tonight. 2- Mcair – Has been second in both
of his most recent races and could be the runner-up again tonight. 5- Harry Augustus – One of several in here that could make
the ticket. 1- Thundering Jim – Looks to be in the thick of the action.

Race 2: 6- Momentsoffire – Just won in Knox County and could roll again tonight. 2- My Star Lee – Finished second last time
out and could be right there again. 1- Abequa – Looks to make the ticket from the rail. 5- Now Helen – Could be a factor if she
minds her manners.

Race 3: 4- Runhappy Ten – Was a winner two starts back and could score again to start the Pick 5. 3- Winchester Walley –
Looks to be tough in here if he minds his manners. 1- Readyforthebeach – Could make the ticket from the rail.

Race 4: 1- Bugs MVP – Won four of her last five races and could score again tonight. 2- Shes Got Pizazz – Another that looks
to have a big shot in here. 6- Party Upfront – Could add value to the ticket. 4- Next Woman Up – Has as good of a shot as any
in here to complete the Superfecta.

Race 5: 2- Ambitious Lillian – Paced home a winner last time out and could strike again tonight. 1- Cat’s Crisis – Could be
tough from the rail. 7- Betty Barley – Could make the ticket despite the poor post draw. 3- Ifeellikesassy – Could grab a piece
of the action.

Race 6: 5- Count On Cody – Was an easy winner two starts back and could roll again with a clean effort. 1- Got Some – Could
be tough from the rail. 2- Norman Skidd Marks –...

ome insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:

(reminder, we’re at it again tomorrow, first post @ 12:30 PM).

1ST RACE – (5) QUICK ASA TRICK N goes second off class dip and best getaway in many moons. Inside quartet here scares no one at this level, so we nod.

2ND RACE – (1) DURANT is one we’ve chased across both sides of Hudson with squat to show for it. Wins draw for local return, so either now or pay no mind.

3RD RACE – (3) SOLO STORY has grabbed minor morsels of late with this caliber of competition. Have to surmise any sort of improvement works well here.

4TH RACE – (7) CHRISTEN ME N is back schlepping a 1-for-18 ’18 resume with him. That said, third after barn change and field he can handle…if gets into it.

6TH RACE – (6) AMERICANPRIMTIME tests a vicious form spree in adult pacing feature. Only shot seems to be ‘run away and hide’ tact against outside duo.

7TH RACE – (7) THE WAYFARING MAN is not much different than fourth race nod, save for bêtter resume. Catches...

Yonkers Peek At Program- July 26th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:

1ST RACE – (5) DONAU is confirmed closer who found porridge bit too hot in latest. Figures to get some numbers to ‘run at’ again, more realistic shot in here.

3RD RACE – (2) HORSING AROUND just missed in blanket photo last out after solid close. Priced to move this time around, so we offer a nod off that angle.

5TH RACE – (2) VORST earned a ‘four-eyeball’ upon a local return, an even effort into decent mile. Surmise she works here, so remiss if we didn’t stay aboard.

6TH RACE – (4) MEDUSA wins the 4-thru-6 draw in what is a very watered-down distaff derby. Looking her way against any number of adult-table seat fillers.

7TH RACE – (4) CASCADA somewhat closed ranks at Monti upon stateside arrival. Not quite sure what he is, so flyer in opener of NYSS Dick McGuire Trot.

10TH RACE – (2) FREAKONOMICS slips down the ladder and goes inside quite significantly. We’re not looking to reinvent the wheel here after all, people.

Only Passing Thru Swoops The Group At Plainridge

Only Passing Thru swoops the group at Plainridge

The skies opened up and the rain came down after the first race, but the sloppy track conditions did not deter Only Passing Thru from putting in a strong performance and winning the $14,000 Winners-Over trotting feature at Plainridge Park on Thursday afternoon (July 26).

Only Passing Thru (Patrizio Ancora) got away third to Osprey Impact (Mike Stevenson) and the heavily favored Muscles Jared (Shawn Gray) who took turns leading the field past the quarter. When the dust had settled there, Muscles Jared was in command and looked strong in the position. He went down to the half in :55.4 and felt the pressure begin to build from there.

Jericho (Joe Di Stefano) came first up with Zorgwijk Nova (Drew Campbell) right behind. Only Passing Thru was now shuffled back to sixth and locked in at the rail at the three quarters in 1:24.4. Around the last turn Muscles Jared looked to be in control, but Ancora was finally able to pull Only Passing Thru from fifth and they both got to work. With six lengths to make up, Only Passing Thru fanned into the middle of the track and dug in hard. He drew even with Muscles Jared and Jericho mid-stretch and then out-dueled them to the wire to win by a head in 1:55.

It was the third win of the year for Only Passing Thru ($16.80) and owners Lindy Farms of Connecticut and Robert Rudolf. Domenico Cecere trains the winner.
