Sulkey Sam’s Jug Day Picks – Thursday, September 21, 2017 – Delaware County Fair

We are pleased to offer our IdaBet players some hot picks from our favorite Sulkey Sam!

Race  1 card one

#7 Pine Tab—won easily here on Sunday with today’s pilot Hannah Miller.  The pupil of trainer Surick has great gate speed to offset the 7 post draw.

The #1 Kween Mightus, the #2 Rush N Supreme, and the #3 Tinder, all have enough positive attributes to get this should our top selection find trouble.

.

Race  2 card one

#4 Miss Me Yet—shows the ability to leave, and even if pilot Teague opts to sit back, she only has to pass 3 rivals to get the job done in this small quartet of 4 y/o and up pacers.

Race 1

#5 Always B Magic—makes his 2nd start back after riding the pine after 06/23.  The job for young driver McCown will be to find the right helmet to follow at the precise time necessary.

#1 Indiana Cam—underwent a tough trip in his last start, and the #8 Americhi—shows us small track abilities that may be enough to conquer the poor post draw.

Race  2

#1 Mannys Too Special—won here last year as a 2 y/o and young pilot Henry has the advantageous rail draw.  The 7/2 m/l animal shows small track abilities that should serve him nicely with this septet of 3y/o colt and gelding pacers.

#6 Dancin Fever—get the huge pilot upgrade to Miller, and is 11 of 20 in the win column in 2017.

#5 Ohio Larry—benefits getting Gingras here for Steck, and may surprise at the 8/1 m/l assignment.

Lock Up Race 16 At The Delaware County Fair

Delaware County Fair – Selections by Sulky Sam For September 19, 2017

We are pleased to share selections by Sulky Sam for today’s racing at the Delaware County Fair!

Race  1

#1 Mighty Breeze—gets a huge pilot upgrade here with Wrenn Jr.  The chestnut 2 y/o Straight Shooting colt has only 4 races under his belt in his freshman campaign, and the most recent, parked twice at Northfield should serve him well with these.

#5 Gerardo—seems to have a bad case of seconditis.  He carries the same name as my friend Don Tiger’s favorite waiter at the famed Harold’s deli in Lyndhurst NJ, by the Meadowlands.  The top selection’s pilot, his uncle Pete, will handle him as usual.

The other 5 contenders in this opening septet of freshman colts could land in any order.

Race  2

#5 Stormin At Dawn—is the one tabbed here in the second half of the early double. He gets a huge positive pilot switch as well.  If we’re correct, it means Wrenn Jr. will commence the day winning both ends of it.

#4 Dontteasehim—gets just as much of a positive handling switch to Miller as our top selection.  The track handicapper has made him the 5/2 m/l favorite in this octet of freshmen diagonal gaiters.

#6 Cheer The Storm—completes the selections here. He seems to have a penchant for running 2nd or 3rd.  The pilot switch to the driver listed above’s nephew, Brett Miller, could move him up enough to topple one or both those we rated above him

Race  3

#4 Pinecraft Nellie—gives Wrenn Jr. the opportunity to start the day with a driving triple.  There are only 4 going in here for a purse of $37.6k.  The balance is unremarkable.

Race  4

#4 Hustling Charley—is...

Sandy Downs Cancels Due to Rain

Due to heavy amounts of rain, Sandy Downs has cancelled today’s race card but is scheduled to resume their meet on September 30th with a first post of 4pm Mountain Time.

The rain has caused track operators some grief but the safety of jockeys and riders remains their highest priority.  The rain will be a blessing to those in neighboring states who have battled record forest fires this season.
