Race 4: 1- Ray’s Western – Draws the inside advantage and that advantage could be key to being successful tonight. 8- West River Tex – Could do well in here despite starting from the far outside. 3- Do It Docs Way – Should not be overlooked as a solid competitor in here. 7- Full Circle Spirit – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Race 5: 3- Chamboro As – Looks the best in here if he minds his manners. 8- Hangin Judge – Looks to have the ability to do well in here despite starting from the far outside. 2- Market Timer – Makes his second start off a qualifier...

Race 1

MI ERMANA TINA ran a decent race last time out coming back from a layoff since May. She figures to move forward off of that one and is the choice for the win here. SPEND AND SPREE showed some improvement in her second start back from the layoff. She has five wins over the track her and looks like a contender. KAABOND was third against similar last time out and would be no surprise here.

Race 2

FAMOUS JAMEIS moves back down in class to the same level where he was second two starts back. He picks up Jimenez tonight, give him a slight edge to pick up the maiden win here. PHILLIPS BEST DAY has been second in three of his last four starts and looks like the one to beat. CRITICAL SUMMER shows two solid efforts in his last two starts and looks capable of winning here.

Race 3

ALWAYS LOVE APRIL drops in class after two even efforts in her first two starts over the track. She shouldn’t mind the move back around two turns tonight and should be able to pick up the win here. TUCUPITA is inconsistent, but has beaten the top pick in the past. MY REGENCY LADY hasn’t shown much recently, but has to be considered on the drop in class.

Race 4

PARK WALK drops in class after an even effort in his debut and looks like he’s in a good spot to pick up the maiden win. BANSHA has been off since early December when he was a close third at this same level in his first start over the track. REVANCHA ran a decent race in his debut and should move forward tonight.

Race 5

COTTON EYED JOSIE might need a race, making her first start since April, but she broke her maiden against tougher on the grass at Gulfstream and could...

CASCATA, GOLDSTAR RAIDER TAKE OPENING LEGS OF MIDNITE HARDY

Pompano Beach, FL…February 1, 2016…Cascata and Goldstar Raider were victorious in their respective divisions in the opening leg of the Midnite Hardy Late Closing Series at Pompano Park on Monday night.

Cascata, an eight year-old gelded son of American Ideal, was last half way through the mile but rallied late with a :29 finale to nail the photo finish win in 1:52.2 for Dave Ingraham, subbing this night for owner-trainer-son Dustin Ingraham.

Cascata’s winning margin was a neck over Van Gundy Hanover (Rick Plano) with Bold Willie, cutting panels of :27; :55.1 and 1:22.3, third, just a nostril back in the picture.

Mr Right Now was fourth after being prominent in the garden spot all the way while Mystical Valentine picked up the nickel in the sextet.

After the event, driver Dave Ingraham said, “He’s just a rugged war horse. He’s got a lot of starts under his girth—almost 200” –actually 191—“so I don’t use him too hard early hoping for a lively pace. We got it tonight going three-quarters in (1):22 and a piece and he picked up the marbles at the end. It was an ideal trip for him.”

Cascata now has 33 wins in his 191 career starts with earnings of $155,239.
