From the “Ayers Above” MONDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 15
Race 1: 9- Hustlinhannah – Was a winner two starts back and could strike again in tonight’s opener. 3- Saint Simeon – Drops in class and looks to be tough if he minds his manners. 1- Norma’s Rose – Could be a major factor from the rail. 5- Montana Skies – Should not be overlooked as a potential competitor in here.
Race 2: 1- High And Tight – Draws the inside advantage and could use that advantage to be victorious tonight. 3- Tough Love – Finished second in two of his last three races and could post a similar effort again tonight. 7- Admiral Time – Could add value to the ticket. 2- Only Way I Know – Should be a factor in here if he minds his manners.
Race 3: 4- Edit – Draws into a race where several could win; this one gets the slight call over the others to get the job done. 1- Rompaway Elvis – Was a winner last time out and could be right there again tonight. 6- Wheres The Clicker – Another that could be a tough customer in here.
Race 4: 4- Can Repeat – Competes in an evenly matched field; this one could edge-out tonight’s foes. 2- Idbegoodatthat – Finished second last time out and could post a similar effort again tonight. 5- Bettor’s Destiny – Won his most recent effort but faces tougher competition this time around. 6- Dry Ice – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.
Race 5: 6- Skyway Cruiser – Was a winner in his most recent effort and could strike again tonight. 3- Bella...

Follow Me Crev

BIG CAP REMATCH LOOMS FOR ‘PARK’ AND ‘CREV’
Streaking Follow Me Crev and Prospect Park could meet again in the Santa Anita Handicap on March 12 after running one-two in Sunday’s third race, a $65,000 overnight event at 1 1/16 miles in which Follow Me Crev won by 2 ½ lengths under Flavien Prat for his fourth straight victory.
Prospect Park, the 4-5 favorite making his first start since last September, ran evenly in second throughout and could not hold off the late burst of Follow Me Crev, who closed from sixth and last at the half-mile pole to win.
“If he comes out it really good, we’ll try the big race,” said Vladimir Cerin, who trains Follow Me Crev for long-time clients David and Holly Wilson. “He’s just a big horse who’s a late-developer. He’s huge.
“Flavien said he’s a really smart horse. He kind of picks his way through (the field).”
Aside from not...

Pompano Park IdaBet.com players can earn upto $500 more with our IdaMatch promo on Pompano and other select tracks. We thought our IdaBet.com players would want to know that Melanie Plourde and Sabrina Clevenger each had milestone wins on Sunday night at Pompano Park as the South Florida oval celebrated St. Valentine’s with two events featuring the ladies.
The first St. Valentine’s Day event—The Sweetheart Trot—went to Back To Peace, handled by Melanie Plourde for owner-trainer Shane Arsenault.
Plourde sent Back To Peace, a seven year-old altered son of Angus Hall, right to the front and posted fractions of :30, :59 and 1:29 before a :29.1 sprint home sealed the deal measuring ¾ of a length over Well Connected Kid, driven by Maria Howard. Magic Cheque, with Brooke Nickells in the sulky, rallied with a :28.4 closing panel to be third, just a nose back of Well Connected Kid. M C Felix was fourth while Jailhouse Lawyer finished fifth in the field scratched down to a field of eight.
The win for Plourde was her 174th lifetime but the very first on U.S. soil as all of her other wins were at Canadian tracks.
Back To Peace won for the initial time in 2016 in six starts and now has eight wins in 120 lifetime journeys to the starting gate, good for $117,775 in career bounty.
As the 9 to 5 second choice, Back To Peace paid $5.80 to win.
In the Sweetheart Pace, Sabrina Clevenger, driving Normandy Invasion, wasted no time blasting from the wings of the Hummer Starting Gate with her 1 to 5 tote-board favorite as this six year-old gelded son of Somebeachsomewhere zipped through panels of :28.2, :55.4 and 1:25 before gliding home a 10 length winner in 1:55.2 over Jet Er Done, handled by Anne Turenne, with Val’s Way and Melanie Plourde teaming up to be third.
Winning Solution finished fourth while Master Of Puppets picked up the nickel in the...
