RACE ONE EARLY DOUBLE- 4-5 PICK-5 – 4 w 5 w 5,6 w ALL w 6

4-WELL CONNECTED KID…comes off a sparkling win in 1:56.4 featured by strong backside surge. Race back to that should do the trick. 7-AMOR DEO…post hurt chances in last but did show some decent backstretch trot. Could make the ticket at a price off live cover here. 1-GOOD FEELING…always dangerous from inside post. Warrior loves to be in the thick of the fray from the get-go & rail is perfect spot.

RACE TWO 5-NORMANDY INVASION…can sizzle leaving the gate. Drew the coveted 5 post & should be on the engine looking to g down the road. 1-WINNING SOLUTION…key here is to be aggressive at the start. Compares very favorably with the competition assembled for this. 2-MASTER OF PUPPETS…comes in here off of a qualifier—a fast one, too—and held together OK late pacing final quarter in :29.2.

RACE THREE 5-OFFICERNAGENTLEMAN…was forced to try a different strategy on an “off” track in last & just couldn’t reach—but, still, a fine effort. 6-MR MASSIMO…warrior has class banking $444K in only 119 lifetime starts. Was used very hard leaving in last. Gets some class relief....

Parx Opening Update

We will continue to keep our IdaBet players updated with information as soon as we receive it.

Thanks for choosing IdaBet.com and have a great weekend!

Cobble Beach Uses New Tactic for Buffalo Raceway Win

Cobble Beach Uses New Tactic for Buffalo Raceway Win

Feb 13, 2016

We thought our IdaBet.com players would like to know:  When Cobble Beach has been scoring victories at Buffalo Raceway the past three weeks, it has been in gate-to-wire fashion. But in the $10,000 Open Pace on Saturday night (Feb. 13), Cobble Beach ($9.90) had to go last to first route to score a thrilling upset win over Youwillwishyouhad in 2:00.3 over the good track.

COBBLE BEACH (3)
Being assigned the seven post, Cobble Beach (David McNeight III) settled back and watched as Lucky Nadotremblay (Shawn McDonough) set the fractions of 29.1, 1:00.0 and 1:31.1.
Going by the half mile, Cobble Beach managed to grab the cover of the first over favorite Southwind Terror and was able to eventually get into perfect striking position at the top of the stretch. Tipping three-wide, Cobble Beach was tracked down the tiring Lucky Nadotremblay and held off Youwillwishyouhad (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) by a neck. China Dream (Jack Flanigen) got up for third with a late rally through the passing lane.
Owned by Leonard Segall and trained by James Clouser Jr., it was the third win in four tries in 2016 for Cobble Beach. It pushed the 6-year-old gelding’s seasonal earnings to $15,004 and $192,671...

Pompano – Totally Rusty, Show Runner Upset

Our IdaBet.com players wagered on Pompano Park last weekend.  The first leg of the $112,500 Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park Late Closer Series was contested in two $12,500 divisions on Saturday night and both provided upset winners as two invaders, Totally Rusty and Show Runner, took their respective events.

Post time is set for 7:30 p.m. Eastern for Saturday and Sunday night.  Remember to play Pompano on Wednesdays for IdaMatch bonus cash of up to $500.  Details here.

Listed below is a recap from last weekend.

Totally Rusty, the four year-old chestnut daughter of Rusty’s For Real, was driven by Tom Jackson and pinned a victory measuring 1 ¼ lengths over the late charging Mach It A Par (Dan Clements) in 1:51.3.

Godiva Seelster (Wally Hennessey) finished third, 1 ¾ lengths away, while the early pacesetter, Just A Bee, finished fourth. Sandysgoldenhour picked up the nickel in the field of seven.

At the outset, Godiva Seelster and Just A Bee both left with alacrity with the latter taking over at the first station timed in :27.1.

During the second quarter, Sensational Gabby A brushed up strongly, applying pressure on the leader with the top pair reaching the half noses apart in :55.

Just short of that mid-mile pole, Totally Rusty began a monstrous brush from sixth, paced an individually timed third panel close to :27 to brush around “Gabby” on the backside and stick her head in front of Just A Bee at the third station in 1:22.4.

After grinding Just A Bee into submission, Totally Rusty only had to take care of the late charging Mach It A Par, which she did “handily,”

In a post-race interview, driver Tom Jackson said, “Rusty was good in her qualifier coming home in :27 and a piece under no duress. I thought she’d be competitive tonight so, if you ask me if I would be surprised with her win, I would...
