Race 1: 1- Dauntless Machine – Draws the inside advantage and looks to use that advantage to start the Daily Double. 4- Lyons Fullhouse – Could be
tough upon coming to Northfield. 5- Earl West – Could add value to the ticket. 7- Jojo’s Amadeus – could grab a piece of the action despite the poor
post draw.

Race 2: 1- Split Rail – Looks to strike from the rail to start the Pick 5. 2- O U Firefly – Finished second in two of her last three starts and could be the
runner-up again tonight. 5- TT’s Ebony – One of several in here that could make the ticket.

Race 3: 2- Judy The Beauty – Could get the job done upon traveling to the Flying Turns. 6- Indiana Anamego – Posted a successful qualifier and
looks to be a strong factor right out of the box. 5- Carolina Jacob – Could add some value to the ticket. 3- Muscle On Broadway – Could add further
value to the exotics.

Race 4: 5- Dreaminallthetime – Driver hands the lines to Thompson and looks for some results. 4- Stately Ideal – Drops in class and looks to be a
solid contender at this level of competition. 6- Will See You EJ – Should not be overlooked as a real player in here. 1- Cam Good Lookin – Has as
good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

The third meeting of the 2020 Dubai World Cup Carnival takes place tomorrow, please find below the Week 3 Meydan Overview and bet selections written by Racing TV’s Angus McNae.

Meydan Overview & Selections – Week 3:

Week 2 of the Carnival brought with it two excellent performances on the turf from Ehktiyaar and Zakouski. Both fired triple digit speed figures in recording overall times that were better than the expected. Zakouski will be hard to beat in the Al Fahidi Fort and Ehktiyaar can lay claim to be the best turf sprinter in the UAE at the moment.

The Al Maktoum Challenge on the dirt was a real spectacle with a tight fought finish, but from a purely analytical point of view this was a disappointing renewal. North America emerges as the best horse in the race and Muntazah needed the run badly. The latter will be hard to beat next time out.

The Cape Verdi heads up a strong card this week and here are my selections:

10:05am Meydan: Nine Below Zero

In a first time visor this horse showed a good deal of zest last week when racing clear of his field over 6 furlongs on the turf, before paying for his early exertions. Such aggressive tactics rarely work on turf but could be much more effective here on the dirt. Last season he can boast a very good second place to Drafted in the Mahabharata Al Shimaal and although out of form since, I felt there was real promise in his effort last week. My Catch is an obvious danger but he is a “need to lead” type and from his wide draw I’m not sure he can cross and clear Nine below Zero who should lead on the rail.

11:15am Meydan: Dubai Blue

This filly looked potentially very smart when beating Hateya at Lingfield last time out and can land a weak looking Cape Verdi. The turn of foot she showed to win with ease was most taking and now she has a chance to show that she is as effective on turf as she is on artificial surfaces. She...

Tonight’s “Lock” is at Pompano Park on race 1 with the #6-Buckeyeonbroadway-Drops again in short field=win for driver Kevin Wallis.

Last “Lock” was 2nd. Howard’s record now stands at: 517 of 826 wins with 150 seconds and 49 thirds.

the action from the rail. 5- Chad – Was a winner last time out and should not be overlooked as a contender tonight.

Race 2: 4- Chance To See – Could score with the right trip to start tonight’s Pick 5. 2- Saint Peter – Draws well an
d is another that looks to have a big shot in here. 1- Toneka – Could make the ticket from the rail.

Race 3: 7- Tough Mudder – Drops in class and looks to pace home a winner despite the poor post draw. 1- Amazing Chip – Made the
ticket in all three of his most recent races and looks to be right there again tonight. 3- Hot Shot Hill – Was a winner last time out and could
be right there again despite facing tougher. 4- Keystone Memphis – Should not be overlooked as a potential contender in here.

Race 4: 3- Mel Rose Dunn – Won her most recent effort and looks to strike again tonight. 6- DD’s Comet – Finished second in both of his
last two starts and could be the runner-up again tonight. 4- Can’tcetthatchip – One of several in here that could make the ticket. 5- Sebiskit
Bluegrass – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:

1 ST RACE – (6) BLUEBERRY HEAVEN finds another six-hole and another
gaze. Seemed to offer some late lane interest in local debut, surmising repeat value.
2 ND RACE – (8) SQUEE HANOVER would not pass parked-mile winner at
Monticello last out after golden set-up. He ain’t gettin’ better trip down here, but…
4 TH RACE – (4) TOMMI CANU HEARME did pass few in lane from outer
venue in latest. Pole-sitter won’t make things simple, but we take contrary opinion.
5 TH RACE – (2) SHEZALLAPPLES A just can’t be ignored with this sort of
post and class relief. If there’s an alibi for this lovely lass, hard-pressed to figure it.
6 TH RACE – (1) MORE THAN MANY may not be tolerated as win number,
but starts inside some very blank foes. Offered some early speed in ’20 bow, so…?
10 TH RACE – (1) MACH ONE returns as a bottom-feeder, where he always
has license. Caught off tracks in last pair of 2019 local tries, hardly a pole surprise.
12 TH RACE – (1) HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE is another 1-fer from season
ago, so we know we’re getting going in. That said, four-eyeball half a trip in finale.
