Yonkers Peek At Program- Friday, October 5th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (2) SGT PAPA DADDY goes down claiming ladder to level of last win. Has to get around polester, set up shop behind one to immediate outside.

2TH RACE – (5) LEAN HANOVER is from the same good folks who bring us Marion Marauder. This one has primarily a big-track resume, tread cautiously.

3RD RACE – (2) OZONE BLUE CHIP went through motions first start after two months away.  Moves inside, has to stay within hailing distance of pylon fave.

4TH RACE – (5) LONE RAIDER does rid himself of three consecutive six-holes…for a five-hole. Intrigues leaving claimers and may work against this gang.

6TH RACE – (1) FROST DAMAGE BLUES makes just fifth ’18 try. Lass was quite good when last here, slipping out behind tiring leader, finishing second.

9TH RACE – (2) ALL ABOUT MADI did us a solid with a ‘peeked,’ first-up win in last. Though then was post relief, so we stay with free ride and better draw.

SANTA ANITA RAINBOW PICK SIX JACKPOT POOL GUARANTEED AT $500,000 ON FRIDAY; AVERAGE FIELD SIZE AT 10 HORSES PER RACE

Oct 5, 2018

Santa Anita Park will guarantee $500,000 in Friday’s 20 cent Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot pool and with 61 horses eligible to run in the Rainbow Six sequence, field size stands at just over 10 runners per race.

Instituted for the first time at Santa Anita this past Friday, opening day of the track’s 22-day Autumn Meet, the 20 cent Rainbow Pick Six enables players to cover 10-times as many horses as with the traditional two dollar minimum Pick Six.

With “new money” accounting for a Rainbow Six pool today of $133,840, there were 33 winning tickets, each worth $2,180.75.

If no one hits the “Jackpot” on Friday, Santa Anita will guarantee $1 million in Saturday’s Rainbow Jackpot and the track will also guarantee $1 million into Sunday’s Jackpot pool if no one strikes gold on Saturday.

With first post time for an eight-race card on Friday at 1 p.m., approximate post time for Friday’s third race, the beginning of the 20 cent Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot, is at 2:03 p.m. PT.

Yonkers Peek At Program- Thursday, October 4th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (5) EDEN PAIGE N is one we’ve opined about previously and been disappointed. Could not hack first-up try in last, but we’re not jumping ship.

4TH RACE – (3) OCEAN COLONY had less than no chance when last seen here, then two-moved at Philly. Surmise low-hanging fruit against bottom-feeders.

6TH RACE – (6) ONEISALONELYNUMBER was done no favors by draw yet again. What does favor him is dipping down to level of last win, can he reach?

7TH RACE – (4) VATANNA did not embarrass herself in first local effort, going even in decent mile. License to improve, may even get put into early fray.

9TH RACE – (4) I FOUND MY BEACH was victimized broken equipment after leaving, taking air in first try off claim. Has to have less happenstance here.

11TH RACE – (7) SOUTHWIND CRUZE was second to a death-and-taxes foe in first try for new barn. Beat few of tonight’s rivals then, nod despite impost.
