Dips to amiable spot. 4-SPINFINITI…gets further relief after 2 decent efforts in higher class. Trying to find right level for a win. Dangerous here. 2-ARDIE B SPEED…went big mile in last showing great gate speed and willing pace when free in the lane. Love the form.
RACE TWO 2-RAILEE WORKABLE…took a lifetime mark in last leading just about every step. Drew well. Leaves, yields and retakes. 4-ZORAZE…been very sharp last two starts—the Jan. 31 mile a lifetime best and then an easy win in last. Very dangerous. 1-MR WIZARD…tough journey in last from outside post. Did show some spunk mid-mile. Move to rail helps the cause here.
RACE THREE 5-THREE NEW DAWNS…been hot property lately. Pulled turn 2 in last and was grinding forward all the way home. Edge! 6-MY BUDDY MASON…has had tough trip after tough trip after tough trip lately. Simple cover flow journey dangerous. 3-RICK’S SIGN…very impressive quarter move in last and never headed thereafter. What’s the strategy this time around??
RACE FOUR PENTAFECTA – 3,8,10 w 3,8,10 w 3,8,10 w 1,9 w 1,2,5,7,9 8-LYONS JOHNNY…Hmmmmm. Recent haven’t been that great…but against the top group. Gotta give edge on dip down. 3-SOUTHWIND AMAZON…post hindered in last and was bothered while on the move backside. Look for improved trip! 10-WINYARD HANOVER…second tier post may be blessing as #1 leaves well. Can wend way into striking position early. 9-TERANADAWN…probably on the engine from this post in bulky field. Recent form has been reliable in this tough class. 1-CADILLAC PHIL…steps up after an improved effort in last. Former Open pacer looking to work way up the ladder again.
RACE FIVE 5-PANOCCHIO…draw didn’t do any favors in last but showed excellent pace in the lane. Should be blasting from 5 post. 9-BLUEHOURPOWER…been in amazing form in perfect 4 for 4 start this semester. Probably on the engine early in here. 4-DEDI’S DRAGON…does step up but cannot ignore very strong performance in last week’s win fighting tooth & nail late.
RACE SIX PICK-4- 1,2 w 2,3 w 1,2,8 w 2,6,10 1-DIRTY DEVIL…not much on paper these days but has drawn well after very difficult journey in last. Rail keeps close here. 2-ELECTRIC ALBERT…got a picture perfect trip in last but couldn’t quite track down the leader late in a brave effort. On tkt. 6-ORATOR…wended way into contention into far turn but lost some ground in heavy traffic turning for home. Cover flow.
RACE SEVEN 2-LONG TERM…been very sharp for long time. Finally has drawn better here and can work out 2nd over journey & fly late. 3-FALL TOY…was used very hard early on to gain the top then pushed through very fast ½. Still, held on fairly well late. 6-GRANDE SEELSTER…went first up wending way into the lead turning for home then out-brushed in the final strides.
RACE EIGHT 2-DANISHDUJOUR…liked a bit last week at 100-1 but post destroyed chances. Move to inside helps cause. Can fly late! 1-JOHNNY GRIPPA…last pair of races in “30” claimers were gate-to-wire winners. Leaves, yields, retakes this time around. 8-MISTER VIRGIN…probably on the choo-choo train from outside post. Has remarkable speed. Can it hold up all the way?
RACE NINE LATE DOUBLE- 2-1, 6-1, 10-1 2-ROCK ON MOE…muscular eight year-old dips from top class to more amiable company. Can turn on afterburners late. 6-ALONEINSPADES…pulled going into final turn in last, lost a bit of ground turning for home and was gaining a bit late. 10-SUMTHINTALLNSTRONG…second tier post might hinder strategy a bit but, once the dust settles, will look for live cover.
RACE TEN SUPER HI-5- 1 w 2,4,5,7,9 ALL THE WAY 1-WHOYOUCALLINGAFOOL…got a picture perfect drive in last and won effortlessly on strength of big brush home. Like! 9-MIXED MEDIA…does possess come gate speed & may go searching for cozy spot mid-pack early. Can rattle cages late. 2-ANDERLECHT…been bouncing around the various claiming ranks & now moves back up the ladder after very sharp win. 4-DINNER GUEST…paced middle half in :55.3 to get into the ballgame but couldn’t quite sustain. Looks to catch cover. 7-NEXT FLIGHT IN…hasn’t won since Cubs won the World Series—actually Sept. 5, 2014 covering 43 starts. Giving hints!!!
