SANTA ANITA FRIDAY PICK SIX POOL TOTALS $302,882 ON HEELS OF $32,552 CARRYOVER FROM THURSDAY

                 ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2016)—With a modest carryover stoking the Pick Six fires, fans wagered $270,330 in “new money” Friday, creating a total Pick Six pool of $302,882 by third race post time.

A Pick Six carryover of $32,552 on Thursday spurred the pari-mutuel activity and Friday’s Pick Six began with a minor upset, as 8-5 second choice Hill Four Eleven went gate to wire going seven furlongs, winning in-hand by 3 ½ lengths.  Ridden by Fernando Perez, he was off at 8-5 and paid $5.40 to win.

Even money favorite Edzactly, who was ridden by apprentice David Lopez, finished second and paid $2.80 and $2.20.

Friday’s Pick Six will conclude with race eight, which is scheduled to be run at approximately 4:33 p.m. PST.
