Some insights into tonight’s first-of-the-month, stakes-smothered racing program.
(reminder, we’re back at it again tomorrow @ 12:15 PM, but no live racing this Monday and Tuesday nights).
1ST RACE – (4) CHEYENNE JEFFREY turned in rare poor effort week ago, which made lead to some opener value. These high-end claimers always entertain.
2ND RACE – (2) HIGHVIEW CONALL N was four-eyeballed in latest, took no prisoners, caved. With a suspect number inside, not quite ready to abandon ship.
6TH RACE – (4) SIX PACK has no visible alibis in here, enters 64th Yonkers Trot better than these. Last season’s statebred champ need only avoid a circus trip.
7TH RACE – (6) STAY HUNGRY appeared to play possum in last Saturday elim, pacing just enough to return for final. Cane winner nod in Messenger No. 63.
9TH RACE – (3) SPEAKING OUT has been good fit with driver, racing well from off pace. Appears to be fair amount of leavers in here, so perhaps he has shot.
10TH RACE – (6) SCOTCH McEWAN was nothing more than a predictable road kill for adult pace in last. Return to age-restricted gang changes that scenario.
