4TH RACE – (5) VATANNA makes second seasonal start/second sans straps in extremely blank field. This one generally stays at it, which may be enough here.
5TH RACE – (1) CHERRY BLISS drew sevens in last three starts, doing her no good in this end of the operation. Pole, monetary ceiling raised for her this time.
7TH RACE – (5) ARCHERY is, admittedly, a reach here. Claimed out of last event and third in last couple, gonna need to stay in same area code as pylon fave.
9TH RACE – (3) HUGH HEFNER N has not been nearly as consistent – or newsworthy – since namesake expired. Does get rare inner-half venue, so nodded.
11TH RACE – (2) PATTON has not embarrassed himself when previously ‘peeked,’ so try again. Draws well but doesn’t leave, has some good foes outside.
12TH RACE – (8) O’SUNDLAND is arguably as talented as any of these, but obviously needs win into it. Might he try eight-hole leave in finale? Wouldn’t hurt.
