RACE 1
ROB AND JOHNS GIRL didn’t show much in her first race back after a four-month layoff but drops to the bottom tonight. She likes this track and figures to improve enough to beat this field. TALIAFERRO COUNTY looked good winning two starts back and a repeat of that one makes her dangerous. WOOD NOT MIND fits in here.

RACE 2
SLOWHAND was a beaten favorite in his last race but ran gamely to finish second. He gets the nod with Garcia aboard for Wes Ward. CINCINNATI drops a notch in class after some decent efforts in Florida. If he takes to the Poly he will be tough to beat. NIGHT GALLERY finished right behind the top pick in his first race since July and is a definite threat.

RACE 3
LIL POM POM overcame a rough start to finish a close-up third in her Turfway debut. A better start may be all she needs to win this one with Lebron back aboard for Barbara Riley. TIZ BEAUTY exits the same race as the top pick and figures second best. DOODLES drops in class and has to be considered.

RACE 4
DISORDERLY CONDUCT drops back in against bottom claimers and looks like a solid bet to win this one at short odds. OWL CREEK has been dull recently but has run well over this track in the past and will be running late in a race that figures to have a fast pace. He could add value to the gimmicks. HELLO PEOPLE has been in the money in five of his six races over this track and has to be respected.

RACE 5
BREZNO has an excellent career record on the all-weather...

YONKERS’ TUESDAY PICK 5 GETS ATTENTION

Infused with a carryover in excess of $5,200, Yonkers Raceway’s Tuesday night (Jan. 16th) Pick 5 wager figured to initiate some interest, which it did.

A total of $27,959 in new investments were added, creating a pool (after takeout) of $26,176 and some change. The winning combination of 3/3/2/3/5 returned $561.25 for every correct half-dollar ticket.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising races 7 through 11 during every racing card. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Monday night), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.

FOILED AGAIN GOES FOR 100TH WIN SATURDAY NIGHT

FOILED AGAIN GOES FOR 100TH WIN SATURDAY NIGHT

Jan 17, 2018

Already with seven figures in earnings, Foiled Again goes for  triple figures in wins.

Harness racing’s richest-ever horse eyes a 100th career victory Saturday night (Jan. 20th), starting from outside post position No. 7 in Yonkers Raceway’s $20,000 first-race pace.

Win No. 99 came this past Saturday night (Jan. 13th), a season-debuting half-length victory (1:55) at the same level (non-winners $20,000 in last five starts) he sees this time around.

“What can I say?,” was driver George Brennan post mortem. “He knows exactly what he’s doing. I moved him to the lead and he gets lazy, which he does. Then, when he was challenged, he dug in.”

Brennan once again takes a seat behind the 14-year-old Dragon Again gelding, co-owned (as Burke Racing) by (trainer) Ron Burke, Weaver Bruscemi and JJK Stables. With that 99th win in his 304th purse try (in addition to 65 seconds and 43 thirds), he improved the retirement fund to $7,568,478.

Foiled Again, who’s been winning races here since 2006, includes a pair of George Morton Levy Memorial Pacing Series titles (2009-10) in his robust resume.
Post time (which in this case is also Foiled Again time) for the dozen–race card is 6:50 PM.

Good luck and thank you for your continued support of IdaBet.com!
