Hello Racing Fans!
For Friday, May 2 – YOU WIN NOT BETTING THE DERBY
(Updated from Thursday)…Yes, I realize it’s racing’s greatest day, but let’s face it, the Derby isn’t really your best bet. To begin with, a field of 20 horses means anything can happen and it’s not like any of these horses have experience with such a big field…even the jockeys only have a once a year shot to hone their skills in such a crowd. With Idabet.com, you will still have hundreds of races to bet on Saturday and you can bet many of them will be offering you rewards up to 8 times more than you would get on the Derby.
So sit back and enjoy the race and root for a possible Triple Crown…but when it comes to making money, stay ahead of the game by playing tracks that WANT your business and will earn it with quality rewards. Thanks for sticking with us this weekend.
Meantime, the an attempt by members of the nation’s largest horse racing fans organization says it is being overwhelmed with support in its boycott of betting on Churchill Downs and the Derby. A group spokesperson says it’s time bettors are treated like real customers and not casino patrons.
The group is upset over a recent increase in the takeout at CD after they were rated as a good value track, the poor conditions of their Fair Grounds owned track and huge compensation paid to executives at CDI while racing is relegated to second class status.
The public announcements that top owner Rick Porter was denied seating this weekend despite horses running in major stakes and being a Horse of the Year owner and the public outcry against the treatment of Secretariat’s jockey Ron Turcotte not even getting handicapped parking has taken a lot of luster off racing’s big day.
