2019 Dubai Racing Carnival – Thursday 7th February

The sixth meeting of the 2019 Dubai World Cup Carnival takes place tomday, please find below the Week 6 Meydan Overview and bet selections written by Racing TV’s Angus McNae.

Meydan Overview & Selections – Week 6:

We are halfway through the Dubai International Carnival now and the local horses can feel the inexorable march of foreign raiders as they mass at the border prior to World Cup night. Last year the raiders were subdued on World Cup night by Carnival horses who had advertised their ability in the run up to the big night. Now is the time for the local horses to step up again, for the raiders are strong in number and quality.

With that in mind the two best dirt horses at this year’s Carnival are on show this week and I fully expect them to oblige albeit at restrictive odds and send a shot across the bows of the forthcoming interlopers.

Here are my four selections this week.

10:05am Meydan: Red Galileo

This perennial Carnival performer can take advantage of having a tactical edge in a small field staying contest. I expect Christophe Soumillon to make all in a field where all his rivals are habitually ridden patiently. The rail is out 12 metres on the turf as well which aids front runners particularly in steadily run races. Red Galileo showed that he retains all of his ability on his return to Carnival action and he has always gone well at this track. Time for Christophe to steal this from the front.

10:40am Meydan: Walking Thunder

I have grown to be a huge...

Yonkers Peek At Program-Thursday, February 7th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

3RD RACE – (3) CHANGE STRIDE N always seems to have to license as a bottom feeder. Catches a crew that’s as mundane as he is, so gets himself nodded.

4TH RACE – (5) CHARLIE ONA HARLEY offered fresh-Lasix early speed across the river out more than month. Has Ontario ‘B’ track small-oval experience.

5TH RACE – (1) PIRINEA’S PRINCESS finds herself priced to move, slips to level of last win. Made wide move at big number in last versus better, pole gaze.

6TH RACE – (7) BROADWAY CREDIT rolled three 7’s, which is terrific at the other end of this operation. Has been solid leaving gate last couple, taken here.

7TH RACE – (2) EDEN PAIGE N has been wholly unreliable we endorsed in past. Does, however, moves inside four places, shouldn’t be scared of any of these.

8TH RACE – (1) D G’S ELSA is an oldie-but-goodie that finds her way into another ‘peeked’ going eight-hole to pole. Surmise she’s forwardly-placed tonite.

WEDNESDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 6
Race 1: 6- Crown Affair – Could get the job done if he minds his manners. 9- Ona Dream – Drops in class and looks to be tough
in here. 1- Jailhouse Tuff – Could do well from the rail. 7- Queen Of Racing – Could add value to the exotics.

Race 2: 5- And We’ll See Ya – Drops in class and looks to be the one that leads off the Pick 5. 8- Bold Decision – Could do well in
here despite starting from the far outside. 9- Manolito Montoya – Should get a good trip from the second tier.

Race 3: 6- Body Of Work – Looks to trot home a winner if he stays on stride. 5- Herbie’s Glider – Another that looks to be tough,
but could also break. 1- Warrawee Onyx – Draws the rail upon dropping in class. 9- Johnny’s Gilly – Could add value to the
exotics.

effort and could be right there again tonight. 1- TT’s Preciouspixie – Could make the ticket from the rail. 8- Monster Myles – Could
add value to the exotics.
