Yonkers Peek At Program- Friday, August 31st

Some insights into tonight’s end-of-month racing program for our IdaBet players:

1ST RACE – (6) BETTER BANGBANG has offered squat in all three efforts since arrival from Chitown. The ringing endorsement aside, now a bottom claimer.

4TH RACE – (4) ACE OF CLUBS could not hack a second move as favorite in last. Blew away lesser tagsters in previous, one of few in here with legit license.

5TH RACE – (1) CAPOZZO has been ‘stalkee’ of this missive in recent tries, either racing well or drawing poorly. Class dip and pole mean no acceptable alibis.

8TH RACE – (5) ROCKSTAR ANGEL A returns from Pocono into dressed- up field this level. That said, she’s taken money and faltered more than once here.

10TH RACE – (1) TWINKLE slithers under monetary ceiling for this return to town. Lass just held sway at Pocono, been knocking hooves with better femmes.

11TH RACE – (1) MEDUSA did slip up cones for ‘peeked’ win coming back here. Remains same level catching very solid group, gazed for ‘snake eyes’ double.

Bo Tee Pulls Upset to win Wednesday Feature at Remington Park

Bo Tee Pulls Upset to win Wednesday Feature at Remington Park

Aug 30, 2018

It’s not unusual to see a son of Kitten’s Joy win on the turf; he has been the top sire on the grass for the past couple of years now. What is strange is to see one score at 14-1 odds and then to have two Kitten’s Joy horses finish 1-2, keying a boxcar exacta is hard to believe.

Trainer Joyce Salisbury gave a leg up to jockey Lindey Wade on Wednesday night at Remington Park in the featured $34,000 allowance race where he booted home a winner in Bo Tee. The 3-year-old gelding, owned by Duane Salisbury of Edmond, Okla., covered one mile on firm turf in 1:35.27.

Bo Tee finished 1-3/4 lengths ahead of runner-up Cash Kitten, also sired by Kitten’s Joy. Hesabully ran third, 4-1/4 lengths behind Bo Tee. The Kitten’s Joy exacta of 3-1 returned $302.20 on a $2 wager. It was the first win of the meet for both Salisbury and Wade.

Bo Tee, a Kentucky-bred, is from the hard Spun mare Credit Spread. He won his fourth career race from 14 attempts, earning $20,043 to boost his career total to $64,355.

Bo Tee paid $30.80 to win, $16.20 to place and $8.60 to show. Cash Kitten, at 10-1 win odds, returned $12.60 to place and $9.20 to show. The two Kitten’s Joy horses combined with Hesabully (21-1 odds) to add to the plethora of exotic wagers that have paid more than $1,000 at Remington Park in the first two weeks of racing. In the first two days, 14 bets returned the pot of gold of four figures. Add this allowance race’s 10-cent superfecta to that list, returning $1,202.36 on a dime wager with the 2-1 favorite, Major Brown, running fourth.

There were three more payouts over...

Yonkers Peek At Program- Thursday, August 30th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program (Viva Thursdays).

1ST RACE – (1) LONE SURVIVOR wins the draw as one of mundane octet in opener. All of these have had more than share of shots as bottom feeders, so….?

2ND RACE – (5) BLUSH HANOVER tried it first-up against notch better in last, hanging around for final pay envelope. Elevator goes to basement tonite, nod.

6TH RACE – (1) WAR DADDY did not disgrace himself first purse try after five months off. Did take coin, would suspect he shall again despite trying tougher.

7TH RACE – (4) DEUCES FOR CHARITY seems to do her best work out-of-town, takes meaningful class dip. It’s not first time we’ve gone down this road.

8TH RACE – (1) SOME PLAYA was ‘four-eyeballed’ a couple of starts ago, needing room earlier while closing into fave. Has the speed, the pole and the gaze.

10TH RACE – (4) ALOTBETTOR N did not disgrace in last, rally for minor against foe that repeated in Monday finale. His best better than anyone else’s here.
