Yonkers Peek At Program- Sunday, August 26th

Some insights into this afternoon’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (6) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL returns to scene of greatest triumph, the ’17 Yonkers Trot. This season’s edition rolls around Saturday nite, so why not?

5TH RACE – (5) STAR STUDDED CAST had missed three weeks off claim, then decent second first start for new barn. Figures tighter in rather ordinary group.

6TH RACE – (5) VERSACHET ingested Westchester’s finest air with trainer driving a week ago. Surmising shorter route in this twelve-furlong ‘French’ foray.

7TH RACE – (3) BLUEBIRD JESSE was a resurgent, ‘peeked’ winner week ago versus lesser. He’s never been easy to gauge, stepping up not out of question.

8TH RACE – (7) MOOSE MADNESS had the monetary ceiling raised to get him into the fray. By condition, part of a bland crowd, good as any if he can reach.

9TH RACE – (3) CHASIN’ DREAMS earned the four-eyeball treatment last Sunday, leaving sire and chasing home odds-on winner. Hard not to stay this time.

10TH RACE – (6) TROPICAL SPLASH AS tries it off a barn change hitting town from parts elsewhere. Perhaps as good an angle as any in very suspect locale.

——

$2 +/- (thru Tue., Aug. 21) – 223 wins ($1,830.80)
from 983 ($1,966) selex (-$135.20, now available without a prescription)

highest-priced winner – BLACKNSWEET ADDA A ($40.40)
lowest-priced winner – THAT’S MY OPINION ($2.40)

Yonkers Peek At Program- Saturday, August 25th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:
(reminder, we’re back at it again tomorrow @ 12:45 PM).

1ST RACE – (1) MAGNUM J is just seasonal 1-fer, but wins opener draw in field of abject underachievers. Need not be much off class dip to get picture taken.

2ND RACE – (4) CHEYENNE JEFFREY has done nothing wrong during his prolonged form spree. Solid, two-move effort in latest, finds comp. all around him.

3RD RACE – (5) GIVENUPDREAMING gets a mulligan after less-than-no-shot in last out. Slips to level he hasn’t seen in quite some time, should appreciate.

4TH RACE – (1) HIGHVIEW CONALL N is at the max of his pay grade and needs much to go right, even from pole. No reason not to be forward-placed tonite.

9TH RACE – (7) PACING MAJOR N is one we’ve been stalking for a while, with good (though non-winning) results. Loses blind draw, as much license as any.

11TH RACE – (1) TRAVEL PLAYLIST earns the ‘tested for class’ axiom in here. Has been quite good working way up ladder and can dictate, but can he last?

12TH RACE – (5) MIDWAY ISLAND has been living at this level for about month or so, teasing to suggest he can beat ‘em. Sees rather eclectic finale group.

——

$2 +/- (thru Tue., Aug. 21) – 223 wins ($1,830.80)
from 983 ($1,966) selex (-$135.20, refrigerate after opening)

highest-priced winner – BLACKNSWEET ADDA A ($40.40)
lowest-priced winner – THAT’S MY OPINION ($2.40)

Yonkers Peek At Program- Friday, August 23rd

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (4) SHOW THE FASHION goes out for a third barn in as many starts. Tired cutting mile in latest for this number, surmising could be opener price.

3RD RACE – (4) MILADY DENVER A was non-factor trying to this level in last. Gazed whipping lesser, stayed in aforementioned start, dressed-up rivals here.

4TH RACE – (5) BUDDY HILL has been runner-up last couple in statebreds. Outer-venue speed when crew last here, nod in first event of NYSS Crawford Pace.

5TH RACE – (2) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK won a not-for-squeamish final of Sheppard Pace. Ideally would stalk polester in second group of Crawford Pace.

8TH RACE – (5) MEDUSA has been four-eyeballed here a few times against better lasses. Returns from western PA against lesser, but chases pole class-dipper.

10TH RACE – (5) DELISHKA N earned herself ‘peek’ from an eight-hole in North American purse bow. Did not fire taking money from sloppy eight-ball, stay.

Aug 21, 2018

The Remington Park racing office compiled entries for the Opening Night of the 2018 Thoroughbred Season this morning. The first night of 67 dates is this Friday, Aug. 24 with nine races, featuring the $100,000 Remington Green at 1-1/8 miles over turf.

Horsemen and their athletes are ready to compete as 108 horses were entered in the nine-race Opening Night program. An average field size of 12 per race was achieved with the entries.

The season’s first race is at 7pm-Central, as 11 Oklahoma-bred Maiden-Claimers ($7,500-level) are entered to sprint 5-1/2 furlongs.

The $100,000 Remington Green headlines the program in race eight with an approximate post time of 10:16pm. Turbo Street (AUS), the 2017 winner of the Green, is back to defend his crown in the race. Owned by Clark Brewster of Tulsa, Okla. and trained by National Racing Hall of Famer Steve Asmussen, Turbo Street will be ridden by David Cabrera.

The total purses for Remington Park’s Opening Night program on Friday stand at $239,600.

The Primetime Pick 4 on Opening Night will feature a $40,000 guaranteed wagering pool. The pick 4 has a minimum 50-cent wager and takes place on races six thru nine, beginning at 9:20pm.

Remington Park will greet fans Friday with a Mystery Money Mania promotion as thousands in cash prizes will be given away on-track in a variety of ways. All guests are strongly encouraged to register for the promotion in the Racing Entrance lobby upon arrival for the evening.

Bigger Money Bingo will also be played on Opening Night....
