Charmed Life Wins Sunday Morning 40G Open Trot- Yonkers

Charmed Life Wins Sunday Morning 40G Open Trot- Yonkers

Nov 20, 2017

IdasBet Players: YONKERS, NY, Sunday, November 19, 2017—Odds-on Charmed Life (Yannick Gingras, $3.50) slapped the boys silly again Sunday afternoon (Nov. 19th), winning Yonkers Raceway’s windy $40,000 Open Trot.

With ‘only’ a seven-horse field, the weekly trotting feature went at the flat mile, the late-morning opener

First-up a week ago, Charmed Life was in play early here. From post position No. 5, she found front well before a :27.2 opening quarter-mile. Lookslikeachpndale (Dan Dube), who left directly outside of the lass, was hard-used just to cram into the pocket.

Once Charmed Life made the lead, there wasn’t a whole lot of suspense. She finished off her pre-noon rounds (:58.2, 1:27.3, 1:56.3), with only minimal outside grief from Home’n Dry (Jason Bartlett).  That one moved from fifth and challenged to the final turn before backing away.

The margin was a couple of lengths in and out of the final turn and three-quarters of a length at the wire.

‘Chpndale’ easily saved second, while DW’s NY Yank (George Brennan) Buen Camino (Brian Sears) and Tight Lines (Jeff Gregory) were relegated to the minors.

For Charmed Life, a 7-year-old millionairess daughter of Majestic Son co-owned (as Allard Racing) by (trainer) Rene Allard, Yves Sarazin and VIP Internet Stable, it was her eighth win in 23 seasonal starts. The exacta paid $17, with the triple returning $81.50.

The scheduled ‘New York, New York Double’ was cancelled after Aqueduct scrapped its card.

Sunday matinees, along with the weather-permitting ‘New York, New York Double,’ return Nov. 26th (post time TBA).

Good luck and thank you for...

Yonkers Peek At Monday’s Program

Team IdaBet is pleased to offer our players a peek at Yonker’s card for Monday, November 20, 2017 by Frank Drucker, Publicity Director.

Listed below are some insights for IdaBet players  into  Monday’s racing program for your wagering consideration:

4TH RACE – (3) LINDYTHEFOURTEENTH has one job here…play ‘catch me if you can.’ If successfully pointed forward, should be more than brave enough.

5TH RACE – (5) ST. HELENA held reasonably well first-up in last, winding up third. Her resume appears a bit more complete than these, so gazed accordingly.

7TH RACE – (1) STEUBEN JOBEE had horror upstate trip for start off barn change. Wins draws here shortening route, though race has a fair amount of talent.

8TH RACE – (3) BRALEY HANOVER has been four-eyeballed since hitting town, showing signs until last. Was apparently unrateable and spatulaed off track.

9TH RACE – (7) FUTURE HEADLINES was ‘peeked’ and apparently good thing in local debut, fooling no one despite month off.  Taken to handle class hike.

10TH RACE – (3) NEXT SUCCESS has not exactly distinguished himself in last few, but draws well in an event that came up soft for class. Appears functional.

Northfield Picks From The Ayers Above- Sunday November 19

Northfield Track Announcer Ayers Ratliff’s free handicapping tips are provided for our IdaBet.com players.

Remember, due to their draw schedule, picks are made in advance and do not account for scratches or late driver changes.

From the “Ayers Above” SUNDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 19

Race 1: 5- Major John – Draws into a race where several could win; this one gets the slight call over the others to start the Daily Double. 3- Cinder Stella – Another that could be tough in here. 6- Littlemissycamluck – One of several in here that could make the ticket. 2- Irish Beach Kidd – Looks to be in the thick of the action.

Race 2: 7- Marty De Vie – Could trot home a winner despite starting from the far outside. 3- Carbon Footprint – Looks to be tough in here if he minds his manners. 4- Makin Green Lavec – Could be tough with the right trip. 1- Flying Muscles – Looks to be competitive from the rail.

Race 3: 3- Hawaiian Five Roll – Won two of his last three efforts and could strike again tonight to start the Pick 5. 4- Princess Of Power – Could be tough upon coming to Northfield. 2- Somekindawonderful – Finished third last time out and looks to make the ticket again.

Race 4: 3- Laughing Matters – Won four of his last five races and looks to strike again tonight. 6- Strange Hanover – Has been doing well at this level of competition and that trend looks to continue. 5- Gotta Laugh Again – Makes the ticket with regularity. 2- CJ’s Real Deal – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Race 5: 6- Amped Up – Should improve in his second local effort. 1- Motor City Yankee – Looks to be tough from the rail. 5- Lima Thunder – Looks to be in good form and could make the ticket again tonight. 7- I Like It Hot – Could grab a piece of the action despite the poor post draw.

Race 6: 1- AJ Corbelli – Draws the rail and could be successful upon coming to Northfield. 5- Right...

Yonkers’ Saturday Pick 5 Features $3800 Carryover

YONKERS, NY, Friday, November 17, 2017—A friendly reminder from Yonkers Raceway that Saturday evening’s (Nov. 18th) Pick 5 wager starts with a carryover of $3,867.20.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising races 7 through 11 during every racing card. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Friday night), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.

Thanks for choosing IdaBet!
