NEW VIDEO PAGE ON BETTING MENU

NEW VIDEO PAGE ON BETTING MENU

Jan 25, 2013

Recently we changed our betting menu with its many new features.  On March 1, we will make even more convenient and useful changes to the menu.

The big changes will be on the LIVE VIDEO features.  You will now be able to view the LIVE RACES in a screen next to your betting menu without having to open a new window.  This allows you to start betting another race or racetrack while watching your live race.

You can also easily switch to race replays on the same page to help with your handicapping from previous races or to review races you bet earlier.

The video page includes the new preview section.  You will be able to preview 3 other tracks from the screens below or watch multiple action all at once.  The 3 additional screens will become a PREMIUM FEATURE after a trial period and will be available for a small fee.   Unfortunately, such technology is very expensive and 4 screens open at once takes up enormous bandwidth on the internet which is costly.  Without the fee, these pages would be open all the time and we would have to pass on the expense to all players including those not using it.

The video screen page can also be opened by itself without the betting menu page for a larger viewing screen.  However, there will be a mni program next to your race to display the runners names, numbers, odds, etc. to better help you follow the race and your bets.

Please let us know what you think of the improvements as well as any suggestions you may have by sending a note to CustomerService@Idabet.com.

ALWAYS WORKING FOR OUR PLAYERS

Thank you players for sharing information with us from our recent survey we sent.  We are going through each and every one to follow through on any suggestion or comment that we can do something about.  Due to the large number of surveys returned, this will take a bit of time, but be assured we are listening to you.  Of course, as always, just send us an email at any time with any other suggestion, problem or complaint.

As you have seen, we recently made changes to our betting platform page and there are more to come.  Our goal continues to offer the best services possible while trying to maximize your daily rewards.

Other ADW’s have a few gimmicks here and there and maybe even way out graphic and video that really doesn’t enhance your play overall.  We rather reinvest with you the player by providing the best cash rewards allowable by law and restrictions by each host track.

Keep your eye out for our continuing changes and remember it’s a two way street wit you, so let us know anything at anytime.

SUPER BOWL WEEKEND

Here we are again, the biggest TV, sports and party weekend of the year…The Super Bowl.  I guess we can use this column to talk a bit about football.  After all football handicappers are just one step away from discovering the joy of racing handicapping.

I am sure for many going to the Super Bowl is a once in a lifetime experience, but I guess unless your team is in the game, this is one event truly made for TV.

Growing up in Baltimore, my highlight of the year of course was the Preakness, though the most exciting races always seemed to be at Laurel.  I will never forget Affirmed and Alydar in the Laurel Futurity.

I barely can remember the Colts losing to the Jets in Super Bowl 3 and for some reason I have very little recollection of the Colts beating the Cowboys two years later.  After that, the memories are much stronger as I became a season ticket holder, only to watch a decade of disaster (except a brief 3 year run with Bert Jones) and a team owner who destroyed a love affair with the city.

In the late 80’s I created the first racetrack sports bar that televised every NFL game (pre DirectTV) at Delaware Park.  I discovered that you could indeed promote to football fans and get them into racing.

We had some great promotions over the years including the likes of Ron Jaworski, Wilbert Montgomery, the late Jerome Brown and very young Mike Golic, now of ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning.

I got out of racing for a decade and operated a business.  One store was located across from the Ravens training complex when they won the Super Bowl and met many of those players and even got to touch the fabled Lombardi Trophy.

But like most everyone else, the Super Bowl is a national holiday in front of the TV.  So I will give it my best to handicap this game.

The Giants had a stretch this year where you wondered if they would even beat out the Redskins, but then they turned it all...

PONY PRIMARY CAN PAY OFF FOR IDABET.COM PLAYERS

Updated Mon., Jan. 30, 12am…Check back through Tuesday morning for possible added names for promotion.

Mitt Romney was a STAR OVER UTAH running the Salt Lake Olympics and now he is VYING FOR VICTORY as a TAX OPPONENT in Tuesday’s Florida Republican Presidential Primary.  Each of those bold names is also the names of horses running on Tuesday at thoroughbred and harness racetracks across the country and eligible for bonus prize money in Idabet.com’s Pony Primary.  IdaBet.com, a USA based and legal service that offers betting on horse racing and is rewarding hunch players in conjunction with the primary.  Players who bet a horse with a primary related name that wins will get a $25 cash bonus.  In addition, players wagering at least $500 for the day will get an extra 1% in cash rewards.

The promotion comes on the heels of a similar event during the Tim Tebow craze.  On January 14, the day of the Broncos-Patriots playoff game, Idabet’s TEBOW 3:16 MANIA may have foreshadowed Denver’s defeat.  Players who bet two horses with TIM in the name were losers, but 2 of the 3 horses with PATRIOT as part of their name were winners, including CM Patriot at Hialeah that paid $16.20 to win.

Tuesday’s Pony Primary is part of Idabet.com’s effort to bring fun promotions to the online and phonebet player who can’t make it to the track.  While Idabet.com realizes racing’s gaming advantage of past performances and data increases the chances of winning, you just never know when ones hunch bet can be just as successful.  Full details of the promotion are available at Idabet.com.  The horses, track and race number eligible for the promotion include:

CHAGRIN LEADER    Sunland 2nd

CHIEF LAZ  Sunland 11th

FINAL EXECUTIVE  Dover Downs...

PLAY OUR FLORIDA PONY PRIMARY JAN. 31

Once again, handicapping may go out the window when you select horse names related to Tuesday’s Florida Primary when you play our Florida Pony Primary.  In this spot after 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, we will have a list of horses you can choose to bet.

Bet at least a $2 Win bet on any of those horses and if your horse wins, not only do you get the payoff, but we will credit another $25 to your account.  Only rule, you must have wagered at least $250 overall for the day (except show bets).

Complete rules on our PROMOS PAGE.

The Pony Primary pays even more.  If you  wager at least $500 for the day, excluding show bets, you will automatically receive a 1% bonus in your account added on Wednesday.

In our Tebow 316 promotion, it proved that indeed sometimes hunches to pay off.  While the two horses with TIM in their name did not win, we did allow for 3 horses with PATRIOT in the name to be a part of the game.  Two of the three won (including a $16.40 winner) and maybe that was the hunch the Broncos were not going to win.

We’ll be looking for names with NEWT, ROMNEY, PRESIDENT to make it fun…just check back here after 3pm EST Monday for the list you can choose from.

Remember in this game, no matter if you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Tea or even Coffee Party, everyone can win!
