Northfield Park Selections for March 1, 2016

Race 1: 1- Beer League – Was the beaten favorite last time out but could prevail for his backers this time around. 7- Broadway Bound – Could do well in here despite the poor post draw. 4- Muscle On Broadway – Finished second last time out and could be right there again tonight. 3- Rockin H Cherry O – Looks to be in the thick of the action.

Race 2: 9- Tory – Drops in class and looks to be successful at this level of competition. 1- CJ’s Super Secret – Another class dropper; this one should be tough from the rail. 2- Moma Jean’s Crown – One of several in here that could make the ticket. 4- Sir Kensington – Could add value to the Superfecta.

Race 3: 1- Vaniscape – Draws the inside advantage and that advantage could be key to being successful tonight. 5- Wow Power – Could add value to the ticket. 7- Ahead Of The Crowd – Could add further value.

Race 4: 7- Really Realy Sweet – Drops in class and could win in here despite the poor post draw. 5- Heres Ethel – Makes her second start off a qualifier and has reason to improve. 1- Wallstreet Bailout – Looks to be in the thick of the action from the rail. 6- Tiffany’s Victory – Has as good of a shot as any in here to complete the Superfecta.

Race 5: 5- That’s...

As you, our IdaBet.com players already know, Hialeah Park’s 2015-16 live Quarter Horse racing season, the 7th since racing returned to this iconic South Florida landmark in 2019-10, ended Monday February 29.  What we thought you would want to know is that Hialeah’s meet ended with record-breaking wagering numbers both on-track and through all-sources simulcast wagering.

Over 39 actual days of competition, with races from the cancelled card on Monday February 1 added to cards late in the season, the all-sources handle totaled out at $15,587,616. That figure topped the previous season high of $13,913,073 –set over 40 days of the 2014-15 meet– by $1,674,543.

On track, local horseplayers and visitors from around the world wagered a total of $1,548,190 through the wickets at Hialeah Park, topping last season’s $1,412,733 sum by $135,457.

We want to thank our IdaBet.com players for directing play the Hialeah way and earning extra cash bonuses as well as Free Gear.  That merchandise will be mailed out to eligible players this week.

Versatile and could pick the right strategy here. 5-ON THE TAB…not afraid to gulp air when given room to roam. Cover flow trip could be danger. 8-INCREDITABLE…wouldn’t be surprised if he was on the engine this time to get into the fray.

RACE THREE 1-ROCKNTOUCH…on a bit of a roll lately and fits this company with NW6 clause. Like right back from rail. 3-CRUIZIN K C…tried cutting the mustard in last. Likes of the pace much better & can brush with best of ‘em. 5-SEEK THE DRAGON…pulled around final turn & was gaining on leader when ran out of racetrack. Danger.

Selections By “The Ace” John Hernandez – Feb 29th

RACE 1 4 Special Wyanet is a 10YO mare making her third start of the season … perhaps the old gal can win again. 1 Thrilling Finish shortens up for the meet’s top T/J tandem … if she handles the inside post, she can win. 2 Miss Nobo Perry has run quite a few of these short distance affairs … that said, her last win was in 2014.

RACE 2 3 Blazin Blue turned in a solid try first time against winners … she should fit better here in this $10,000 claimer. 10 Denim Jeans could pull off a victory in this dash … she had some trouble in her allowance-level try last time. 4 Rbd Eyes for King broke her maiden against $5K platers in her most recent … maybe she can impact here.

RACE 3 1 Eye Zoomin was beaten at 20¢ on the dollar, but got the win via DQ … his cagey conditioner can win races! 8 Jess for Kaylee has been stalled at this level for quite some time … maybe the rider chance to Amaro helps? 3 Lethal Dynasty was a beaten fave, but did improve on the drop … his trainer/jockey duo is finishing strongly.

RACE 4 5 Waves Copilot has earned a jump in class after a $5K near miss … could be the gray is...
