Yonkers Peek At Program- Saturday, February 24th

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet players:
(reminder that all snowed-out races from a week ago were scrapped…

and that we’re racing tomorrow, first post @ 12:15 PM)

1ST RACE – (3) BADIX HANOVER was one of snowed-out endorsees from last Saturday. Claimed from ’18 bow, though this comp. is tougher than week ago.

3RD RACE – (4) THE LUNCH PAIL gets good, mid-pack getaway. Too far inside doesn’t work him, too far outside means he can’t reach. Porridge just right.

4TH RACE – (3) SOTO is missive’s shortest-priced winner so far this season and returns to that level. Warning that he was no prize that night, avoid puny price.

5TH RACE – (4) GO COLLECT N has turned in series of solid tries. Gazed winner for this number last out off perfect trip, draws his fourth four-hole in a row.

7TH RACE – (2) TAKE IT BACK TERRY may not be the adult-table staple of earlier seasons, but is sandwiched between two season-debuters here. Gets gaze.
10TH RACE – (6) DREAM OUT LOUD N is repeat ‘peek’ after last week’s postponement. Raced eyeballs out past month, primarily in features. Dip, nodded.

——

$2 +/- (thru Tue., Feb. 20) – 40 wins ($398.10)

from 198 ($396) selex (+$2.10, equator within sight)

highest-priced winner – MACHTU N ($33.80)

lowest-priced winner – SOTO ($2.70)

Happy wagering and thank you for choosing IdaBet.com!

Yonkers Peek At Program-Friday, February 23rd

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (3) LUKE’S COWBOY comes off credible effort upon arrival from central Jersey, site of both seasonal wins. Improves with better opener draw.

2ND RACE – (1) SOVEREIGN BANNER N dips and wins draw, so sort of a form endorsee. That said, gonna need to dig up early foot from a confirmed closer.

3RD RACE – (2) DRUNKEN DESIRE A has two wins in last two seasons, a fact that inspires zero confidence. However, returns into ‘20’ that should not scare.

5TH RACE – (1) ONE THROUGH TEN remains at same ‘tag’ price. Pylons and speed first try for barn with early-season success. Takes these as far as he can.

8TH RACE – (3) KEYSTONE WANDA has not raced poorly thrice here off barn change. Class dipper directly inside, but this lass seems competent for these.

9TH RACE – (3) SHE’SJUSTADELIGHT N did pass a couple late first start after two months of R&R. Rarely seen in this shallow, so surmising she’s leaving.

10TH RACE – (4) JAG OUT could not last as last week’s, two-speed number ‘peek,’ but remains at a workable level. May have to get used to get front in finale.

——

$2 +/- (thru Tue., Feb. 20) – 40 wins ($398.10)

from 198 ($396) selex (+$2.10, equator within sight)

highest-priced winner – MACHTU N ($33.80)

lowest-priced winner – SOTO ($2.70)

Yonkers Peek At Program- Thursday, February 22nd

Some insights into tonight’s racing program for our IdaBet.com players:

1ST RACE – (4) STYXIT TO EM N was decent third this level first start off claim. Better recent resume compared to these, many of whom are trying tougher.

2ND RACE – (5) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA remains a regular endorsee and continues to pays way as bottom-level number. Snapped after first-up in last.

4TH RACE – (3) CRACKER COFFEE has been begging (supposedly) for a better getaway, which she finally gets now. Perhaps it does her some good in here.

5TH RACE – (2) ABERDEEN HANOVER gets another four-eyeball while staying versus same caliber. Rare leave last out only to get stuck behind tiring foe.

7TH RACE – (1) CAPOZZO has been quite competent in last handful against lighter lasses, with a solid, first-up ‘peeked’ win in last. Whips tougher from pole.

9TH RACE – (4) DEETZY makes seasonal bow after pair of qualifiers, latter with purpose. We’re not crazy about pickin’ em off the layoff, but could be ready.

——

$2 +/- (thru Mon., Feb. 19) – 39 wins ($389.80)

from 191 ($382) selex (+$7.80, dwindling funds, but boundless logic)

highest-priced winner – MACHTU N ($33.80)

lowest-priced winner – SOTO ($2.70)

2018 Dubai Racing Carnival – Thursday 22nd February

We are happy to offer our IdaBet players the race cards for the eigth meeting of the 2018 Dubai World Cup Carnival.

Meydan Selections:

We saw two nice performances on Saturday at Meydan. Both Yalta and Heavy Metal made all for decisive victories over six furlongs and a mile respectively. Yalta ran a Time figure that suggests he is the best locally trained dirt sprinter operating at the moment and Heavy Metal is firmly on the road to the Godolphin Mile. Both are trained by Salem Bin Ghadayer, who has had a superb World Cup Carnival.

This week we have an excellent card and I’m hoping I can add to the treble secured here on the blog on Saturday. Here are my five selections this week.

09:30am (ET) Meydan – Ertijaal:

This Meydan Sprint is a cracker and can go to the world-class course specialist Ertijaal at the expense of the very useful UAE debutant Blue Point. Ertijaal is the course record holder here, and excels at this the minimum trip. He also has the benefit of a recent run, where he beat subsequent winner Hit the Bid. This sharp five furlongs suits him ideally, and could well be too sharp for the returning Blue Point who has top-class form at six furlongs and may well be a significant player in the Al Quoz Sprint on World Cup night on March 31 over 6f. For the here and now, however, I believe it will be Ertijaal’s day once again at his beloved course.

10:40am (ET) Meydan – Kimbear:

This horse has been spoken of in glowing terms by his trainer Doug Watson. On his Meydan debut over a mile he was most...
