1^ST RACE – (4) TORRID BROMAC N won this local level late November and returns off a win in central Jersey. Need not be much to dispose of these foes.

3^RD RACE – (4) DEMOCRACY N changed hands after last try, outracing his odds to close for third. Far from prolific winner, but intrigues from this locale.

4^TH RACE – (1) SHINOBU HANOVER is sort of form selection, with best venue in six weeks, second off class dip. Another that doesn’t win much, though.

5^TH RACE – (6) CELIA CANTABA was ‘peeked’ after barn change, going evenly with month between tries. Should be tighter here, draws does her no favors.

7^TH RACE – (3) ROMANCING RACHEL has raced with no luck both tries since graduating to this level. Route figures much shorter from here with no alibis.

9^TH RACE – (3) TOATSMYGOATS was four-eyeballed this Saturday nite, an ‘eh’ first-up effort. Same venue here, perhaps more inclined to get out of gate.

10^TH RACE – (4) PEMBROKE WILDCAT can’t be as non-descript as last couple suggest. Never a leaver, but endorsed trying to rebound in mundane finale.

A friendly reminder from Yonkers Raceway that Thursday evening’s (Feb. 1^st) Pick 5 wager starts with a carryover of $4,787.19 and a $15,000 guaranteed pool.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising races 6 through 10 (for these 10-race cards, ordinarily it’s races 7 through 11). It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Tuesday evening), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.
